Gorgeous Ocean Views
"We loved the apartment. It was comfortable and luxurious. All details seemed to be taken care of from luxurious bedding to robes in the bathrooms to free wifi access to AC in the whole apartment not just the bedrooms. Unfortunately, the pool was closed due to renovations but the owners had informed us and even credited us for this inconvenience without us having to say a thing. Very professional in all aspects of this stay. The old town is about a 15 minute walk (about 1.5 miles). But you could take a taxi which are cheap and easily accessible."

Beautiful Apartment- Great owner - Great manager - Busy street
"This apartment was beautifully done- photos were accurate. It was also outfitted well- everything you would need in the kitchen. I am always very appreciative when the owners make sure there are some basics in the apartment, so you don't need to stock up on things like sugar and salt and dishwashing soap for just a few days. Very considerate! The owner also gives you complete access to the laundry room, so if you need more sheets or towels, or even to wash your clothes- everything is there. The manager, Henry is great- is on top of all problems and tries his best to get them solved quickly as they arise ( as in loss of power or internet). He even managed to get us a reservation to a restaurant we had been unsuccessful in securing. The owner was great to work with. When we did end up having a few problems (that were completely out of her control) she did her best to try to solve, and then ultimately to make it up to us. My only warning (which I shared with the owner) is that this is a VERY busy street, congested with a relentless ribbon of people. The adorable colonial balcony that is shown in the photos was impossible for us to use to sit out there because the retail stores below (discount stores) blasted their sound systems from 9:00 am-9:00 PM. So- if you really like being in the center of it all, you will love this apartment, but if you prefer your people watching to be a little more serene, you might want to try a different section of town. I will say- it is in the heart of things, but know what you're seeking."

"Words cannot describe how amazing the property and experience was for us. Here are a few highlights for those thinking about booking:
-Greg (the property owner) was incredibly responsive from the moment we first inquired about our travel dates. He is always available to answer questions about the property and Cartagena.
-Fany (the property manager in Cartagena) was also just outstanding. Fany picked us up from the airport and took us to the property. She also pointed out different sites in Cartagena along the way. Once we got there she showed us around and introduced us to Jorge (on-site property manager) and Billie (chef). Fany had great suggestions from things to do to places to eat. She also heard that were celebrating a birthday on the trip so she went out of her way to get a cake and bring it back. She was truly wonderful!
-Jorge (on-site property manager) is one of the kindest, most genuine people you will meet. He made us feel right at home and was there to answer any questions we had. He is also so thoughtful. When one of us commented on how much we liked the hot sauce at the house he ran out and purchased 2 bottles to take home. It was great to have him with us during our stay.
-Billie's food is to die for. All of our meals were restaurant quality amazing and the fresh juices she prepared with each meal were delicious! We will be thinking about her food for years to come. If you are on the fence about hiring her - do it! You will not regret it!
-The property itself is even better than the pictures. It is centrally located near everything - from shops to the ocean to restaurants (Crepes & Waffles is literally just downstairs) - it has it all. The streets are also bustling with people at all hours - you will always feel safe. Our favorite part of the house was the top level. In addition to a great area to lounge/relax, there are balconies on both sides of the top level which have amazing views.
-The city is also beautiful and a great place to vacation (we wish we would have had a few more days to explore). Given our short stay we chose to do a sightseeing tour on a Chiva bus (arranged by Jorge) and that was great. In addition to learning more about Cartagena, it also stopped at the key sites and allowed us time to walk around. Very efficient way to see the city! We ate at La Vitrola for the birthday celebration dinner (recommended by Jorge and Fany) and it was outstanding.
Overall an amazing trip and much much better than a hotel!!!"
