  • Beautiful suite in an amazing location!

"Our family stayed at Maria and Ken's apartment in November 2013 and it was perfect for us! The apartment is in great location right in the heart of colonial Quito. It really is the perfect base for exploring this beautiful historical city. The apartment is beautiful - the space is very well planned, and very comfortably furnished and decorated. Traveling with kids, the kitchen and washing machine were really important to us! The kitchen had everything we needed, and there is a grocery store about 2 blocks away, which was great! Of course, there are also great restaurants nearby, so you certainly don't have to cook if you don't want to. The building was very secure, with very helpful guards on duty 24 hours/day. The guards can help you call a taxi - when our taxi didn't arrive, the guard helped us get another ride to the airport in the morning which was great!"

  • "Great Vacation" !!!

"We just returned from Bob and Roxanne's beautiful home, where we spent 9 days and had one of the best vacations we have ever had. Our host were so nice and accommodating in every way. It was so nice to have someone to assist us with our trip from beginning to end ... which included our taxi driver who picked us up in Guayaquil and took us to the grocery store to get all the supplies we needed, and assisted us on several tours we took ... for sure use him ! The facilities are very nice and the location on the beach is perfect, and close to many restaurants. The beach is both beautiful and very private for long walks. There are many things to do there, or just do nothing in a great setting. If you are going to the beach in Ecuador ... "this is the place to be" !!! Thanks again to our new friends Bob & Roxanne ! Safe travels."

  • Great place to stay

"We arrived in Puerto Ayora and was met by Fernanda, Mimosa's property manager that escorted us to the property. Mimosa is a short pleasant boat ride across the bay, the property itself was clean and well maintained. The staff was wonderful and very helpful, Paul (owner) met us and answered all questions we had. From Mimosa we took hikes and loved visiting Las Grietas a small swimming hole where you can climb the rocks and jump in. It took us around 25 minutes to walk to the swimming hole from Mimosa. Traveling to and from Puerto Ayora was very easy and we did so several times a day. Lots of activities and sightseeing in the area and taxis are easily accessible and relatively cheap. Don't forget to visit the fresh fish market after 5pm for a fantastic meal."

  • What an awesome hacienda.

"We stayed in Casa Ana and I must say that the pictures online do not do the property justice. When we first arrived and walked into the house we were in AWE of how traditional, spacious, and beautiful the house is; it's modern and rustic at the same time. Plenty of room for up to eight people. Highlights of our stay: 1) The farm - We went out every day except for one day; it was the best day of the week. We milked cows, made cheese, made empanadas, went horseback riding, hiked to the waterfall, got eggs from the chicken coop for breakfast, and finished it off by watching a movie by the fireplace. As soon as the kids woke up every morning they would put on their boots and go outside to play in the creek or explore the farm; they loved the farm and enjoyed it more than any of the adults. 2) Darwin and Veronica - The caretakers were always alert to our comings and goings to make sure we had everything we needed. She took care of cleaning the house every morning and got up at 4AM to take us to milk the cows and teach us how to make empanadas; he made sure we had the fireplace going every night and took care of the horses when we went riding. They were awesome. 3) Wilmer the driver - I spent on average $100 per day on the days we went out. Two of the days we went far (2 hours away) and the other days we stayed close to Otavalo. If I had rented a car it would have cost at least that much. However, we were six so it would have been a tight squeeze and we would have been lost half the time. Wilmer has a mini school bus which was perfect for the large group. He knew exactly where we wanted to go and how to get there. On top of that he was very friendly and became a friend before the week was up. If you are planning a trip to Imbabura, Ecuador, this is by far the best place to stay. Janine, the owner, was very hospitable; she invited us to see her house, Casa Blanca, and introduced us to her husband and her parents. What an AWESOME vacation. I was posting pictures on Facebook every night and all my friends were so jealous; I can't wait to go back."
