  • STOP! LOOK NO MORE! YOU HAVE FOUND YOUR GALAPAGOS VACATION HOME!

"My wife and I and our two boys, aged 12 and 10 recently spent 6 nights at LA Casa Di Furio and it was simply fantastic! Furio is a wonderful host and is willing to help you organize any of your activities on Santa Cruz or for day trips to the other islands. He had everything organized for us when we arrived. Furio will cook for you if you wish or he will allow you complete privacy if that is your desire. We can only echo what so many other reviewers have said- he is a fantastic chef!! His kitchen/greatroom area downstairs opens to the patio, pool, and little beach area and provides the perfect place to gather in the evenings to cook, sip a glass of wine, and watch the kids play in the pool. His super friendly dog Tornado will be close by taking part n the fun as well. Our boys woke up early every morning to see the sea lions and Iguana's out on the boat dock in front. The bedrooms upstairs are clean and spacious and I especially liked the wide porch overlooking the bay. Furio also has William his driver and Esther his housekeeper available for your needs and Esther will also do your laundry for a small fee if you wish. We have stayed in VRBOs all over the world and our experience at La Casa Di Furio was one of the very best! Thanks Furio my friend. We will be back!"

  • The perfect homebase to explore Quito

"I can't say enough about our stay in Quito at this comfortable and conveniently located apartment. Clemencia was very responsive and helpful throughout the booking process and also when our flight was delayed due to the weather in the Northeast. When we did finally arrive, we were greeted at the airport by Javier, who helped us to get situated in Quito. Especially nice was that he took us to the grocery store and helped us pick up some essentials before arriving at the apartment. It was lovely to be greeted by such a kind and friendly person after our long flight! The apartment provided us with more than enough room for our group of 5. We loved waking up in the morning and sipping our coffee while looking out at the incredible view of Quito and the volcano towering over the city. Bellavista is a great neighborhood, very safe, with everything you need within walking distance. If you want to venture out beyond the immediate neighborhood (and of course you will) it is very easy and affordable to get around Quito using public transportation - there is a stop right at the bottom of the hill. I would also add that we had no problems whatsoever with the water pressure, as another commenter noted. The only suggestion I could give to improve the experience might be to have a folder or notebook with some local suggestions - for example the best and closest restaurants, the nearest pharmacies and grocery stores, the owners favorite sites in Quito, etc... I certainly wouldn't hesitate to stay at Clemencia's apartment again, and I do plan on returning to Quito sooner rather than later. We had a wonderful stay."

  • Perfect Getaway

"We spent almost the entire month of March in the Alta suite. As first time travellers to Ecuador, Bob and Roxanne were fantastic.Any questions that arose, prior to or upon our arrival, they had the answers. They even arranged our transportation from the airport to the coast. They greeted us warmly when we arrived, and the suite is exactly as advertised, everything you could need is here. It's obvious our hosts have the enjoyment of their guests in mind when furnishing these suites, and any request is simply not too big for them. The property is gated, the gardens lovely and the beach is wonderful. Fine sand, shallow, warm water that stretches for miles makes it hard to leave everyday when the sun goes down. Monglaralto has the hospital across the street, a pharmacy and some small restaurants, and the larger town of Montanita is just a quick cab ride(or 40 min walk up the beach), with a larger selection of eateries and bars. All the local people are friendly, the area is safe, and we would definitely recommend staying with Bob and Roxanne.Thank you both for sharing your slice of paradise with us."

  • Gorgeous Beachfront Estate and Wonderful Owners

"After having just stayed here, my husband and I have already booked our next trip! There are many great things to say about this rental. First, the house is HUGE! Although the owners do live in the house, we did not feel as though we were just renting a room. Upon arriving, we were greeted and welcomed to the property. I see having the owners on-site as an advantage. This was our first trip to this part of Ecuador and having people familiar with the area was a huge help! Having done A LOT of research on the sights we wanted to see, we saw some of the places we researched but visited more of the places that Bruce and Kim told us about. I'm very thankful for their knowledge of the area and willingness to help in the planning of our excursions. They arranged taxis for us when needed, which was especially nice for someone who does not speak Spanish and is not familiar with the area. Second, THE VIEW IS AMAZING! The house is better than described. It sits right on the ocean and offers a great view of the sunset. We relaxed in the hammocks on the veranda and lounged in chairs on the grass. This house is built for relaxation! Our room also offered a lot of space. The bed was very comfortable and it was great to fall asleep to the ocean at night. Our room had a set of double doors to a balcony that overlooked the ocean. It is a beautiful house with great views from every angle -- a must see! Also, it was very quiet and tranquil. We did not hear any parties going on or traffic from the road. Third, the house is located in a great location for sightseeing. After relaxing for a few days, we went into Montanita and had a great time walking around, trying different restaurants, and talking to the locals. Note: I do not speak Spanish and was kind of nervous coming to a Spanish-speaking country without knowing language. However, this was not a problem. The locals are very nice and were patient with my less than stellar Spanish. By the end of the trip, I felt like I had learned enough to get by. After our wonderful experience with renting this property and its great location, my husband and I cannot wait to come back!"
