  • A Magical Place

"Rarely do we return to a destination but we can't wait to go back. We spent Christmas week at 4 Volcanoes with our adult children. We hiked, went horseback riding, visited markets, hot tubs daily, magnificently prepared food by Clever and Juanita. The house was absolutely perfect, comparable to a 5 star resort. Thomas and his family made us feel so welcomed. We experienced not only the beauty of Otavalo, but the culture and warmth of the people. We have a new family in Ecuador. There is no place like this on earth!!!"

"The apartment was very comfortable, close to everything we enjoyed walking to Plaza Foch, Ronda restaurant, Carolina Park. Rocio and people in charge are the best of the best. Thank you so much!!"

  • As the Realtor in Edward says, it's "Location,Location,Location."

"If you are looking for the best location in Quito, this is it! I just returned from 7 days in Quito with the last 4 days spent in Edgar's condo. I have rented quite a few condos through VRBO and I look for several qualities in a rental. One is: does the condo have all of the amenities that I want for my stay? Two is: Location..is the location within walking distance of shopping, restaurants, entertainment and public transportation? Three: Is the condo in a safe and secure location? Four: Is the owner easy and accommodating to work with? I must say that it is very seldom that I find a rental that meets all of these qualities in spades as Edgar's condo does; and with the personal attention that you get from Edgar. Edgar helped me find a English speaking driver named Daniel that drove me all around the Quito area and to the Airport for my flight back home. Edgar and I spoke several times during and after my stay and he is as you will find from the people of Ecuador very friendly and helpful. I think I have a new friend. It was also nice that he has a Magic Jack phone in the condo that you can call back to the states at no charge. Thanks for making my stay very pleasant. Ronnie"

  • Perfect Location; VERY SAFE

"Francisco and his wife are extremely welcoming and always helped us out when needed. The place was clean when we arrived and we did have an issue with turning on our showers. However, Francisco came after one phone call and help us out. You are given a set of keys to enter the building along with 3 more locks on the doors. We felt very comfortable and safe. The dryer and washer worked perfectly. HIghly recommended."

Best Time of Year to Visit Ecuador Vacation Rentals

Ecuador has three distinct climates, depending on where you are in the country. Summer runs from November through March and winter in from June to September. The coast has a milder tropical climate and can be visited year-round. In the summer months, you can experience higher levels of humidity and some rain. The jungle areas are typically tropical with high levels of humidity at all times of the year. The summer seasons are particularly wet and sometimes make traveling difficult. Most people visit the jungle areas between April and September. The highlands are popular trekking destinations, and the ideal season to explore this area is in the cooler, drier winter months. Many people visit Ecuador to experience the colorful festivals. Highlights in the calendar are Christmas and Easter as well as Independence Day which is celebrated in July.

Types of Ecuador Accommodation Options Available

Ecuador has a wide range of accommodation options available, catering to all levels of budget. For those villas located in more rural beachfront settings, many have beautiful gardens or outdoor decks where you can relax and enjoy the scenery.
