    "We loved the Blue Pools Beach House. It was ideal for our multiple family members who met up in Cairns for a family wedding. Having the pool and jacuzzi was a big plus. It was great to come back after a busy day and cool off in the pool. The outside dining area was great and we enjoyed using the bbq. James did a wonderful job of meeting us at the house and showing us how everything worked. Their was a lovely basket of fresh fruit and vegetables, a bottle of wine and milk etc. to greet us. The house was in a very convenient location. We enjoyed a meal at the restaurant down the street. However, you need to be patient as the service was quite slow. We also had some good Thai takeout from the little place around the corner. I would love to stay there again and highly recommend it."

  • Home away from Home

    "Twice we have been to the City Road apartments and enjoyed our stay immensely. It is nice staying centrally in Melbourne for special occasions and sporting events, without the long drives associated with traversing Melbourne. Close to Crown, Tram Car Restaurant, Regent Theatre, Kino Cinema, Exhibition Centre, Etihad Stadium and some of the most talked about restaurants in Australia along the Southbank. If you are a fitness freak there is a lap pool and a well-appointed gym; and why not strolls to the MCG or the Tennis Centre; or a tram ride to the Aquatic Centre – in Albert Park, that nestles up against the Albert Park Lake Grand Prix circuit. In fact with the great views, and comfortable apartment, leaving is the only hard thing to do at this City Road, address. And if you are there for a week there is a Food Works supermarket a right turn at the front of the building; just over [under] Kings Way; and for a full shop, there is a Coles Supermarket, left along Clarendon Street, or a right turn out of the car-park. Along Clarendon Street there are also many ethnic restaurants, including Thai and Indian, and further into the suburb, is the second most famous fresh food market in Melbourne – the South Melbourne Market, off York along Clarendon. This area is a pleasant relaxed gateway onto Melbourne’s beaches; such as St Kilda, Brighton and Sandringham, or further afield to Frankston and Portsea. Or if you need to head west, instead, the road you view from the 40th floor is Westgate Freeway, the gateway to the west. Enjoy your stay, we did."

  • A great place to stay

    "As good as the photos of this unit look on your monitor, the views in person, looking out at the harbor and sea, are spectacular. This unit has great views of the water from every room in the property. The photos are accurate but they can not convey how magical this place is. The harbor, with boats coming and going, is always interesting to watch. The point, with surfers and stand up paddlers is fun to watch from the condo, and is only a short stroll away. On the first days of our arrival there were 4 meter waves with surfers putting on a show at the point. The beach is beautiful and is great for walking on either the sand or the sidewalk and boardwalk that runs along the beach. The unit has everything you need for a good stay, and there is a shopping center less than 5 minutes away that has everything you might need to buy. The shopping center, Kawana Shoppingworld, is much larger than it appears from the street. It will have anything you might need. The kitchen is good for cooking, great views again, and my wife says the amenities were lovely. There is a convenience store and fish and chips stand within walking distance (a few blocks), and also a nice cafe for breakfast and lunch. Here is tip: Wireless service and good connectivity to the internet was a problem for us, but there is an easy fix. The public library is just down the street. Nice library, nice librarians, and free wi-fi with good reception and connectivity and also desktops you can use. If you're going to Australia from the USA, fly to Brisbane, rent a car, and drive an hour to Point Cartwright. Spend a week adjusting to Australian time in the best place in the world to recover from jet lag. We give this unit and Buddina our highest recommendation. I would like to return here. My wife would like to live here permanently. That gives you an idea of how much we liked it. Nice people to rent from too. They took care of all of the details. Thank you."
