  • It doesn't get any better than this!

"My husband and I stayed here for a week for our honeymoon. This home has the best location on an unspoiled beach. No other houses, no hotels, no roads, nothing. Just coconut trees. The propery is stunning. Flowers EVERYWHERE inside and out. The staff, Saris and Panera, are even more stunning. They showed us the different stages of a coconut, made us an authentic Fijian-Indian dinner, took us to a nearby village and waterfall, brought us fresh coconut milk, and shared in a kava ceremony with us. So friendly and knowledgable. The owners are out of this world helpful. Having fellow Americans there to "hold our hand' made visiting a new foreign land much less intimidating, not that Fiji could ever be considered intimidating. They hosted us for dinner one evening, took us grocery shopping, and even doctored up a scratch on my leg. They never intrudted on us, and we never saw them unless we sought them out. Thier property is way behind the cottage, so you dont even know they are there. As honeymooners, our privacy was important to us and we had it. We spend every day on the deck reading books next to the pool which was a really nice perk. The wifi was reliable, the board games and library of books was ample and appreciated, the kitchen was up to date and had all the comforts of home. If you want to spend the week seeing sights, rent a car. If you want to plant yourself and really really relax, don't. You can rent a taxi if you want to take a trip (cheap), or hitch a ride with Susan when she goes to town if you need to pick something up. We used the kayak while we were there and it was fun. I also took advantage of the massage service available for a mere $25 USD, beachside, and it was great. We found an occassional gecko (about 4 inches long) in the kitchen, so if that freaks you out, Fiji isn't for you. They are everywhere. They don't leave the safety of the wall so they don't bother you. There are lots of frogs at night, which are fun to go looking for with flashlights. There are lots of mosquitos too. Luckily, the house had coils to burn which helped, and we had bug spray. Bring something with Deet in it and cortizone! They never stopped us from being outside, just reapply liberally. This was by far the best vacation house I've ever stayed in and the value is phenomenal. Because of this house, we will never vacation i Mexico again, and can't wait to come back here, hopefully next year."

  • Absolutely breathtaking, loved Lomani!

"Absolutely "wowed" by the view - couldn't imagine a better place in the world. Cherished the privacy and were blessed to have the care and friendship of Nox and Tukana. Incredible to pick and juice our own fruit each day - can highly recommend the Rum cocktail Saskia has in her little book - all with limes grown right on our doorstep. Met some tremendous passionate people - trip out to the rainforest, spent the amazing christmas and new year for 2014 with the local church singing Christmas Carols. We spent Christmas night dancing and drinking Kava at the welangi village as their guests - so much fun and special to be included! Thank you! Cassandra & Laurie, Wellington, New Zealand"
