  • Absolutely breathtaking, loved Lomani!

"Absolutely "wowed" by the view - couldn't imagine a better place in the world. Cherished the privacy and were blessed to have the care and friendship of Nox and Tukana. Incredible to pick and juice our own fruit each day - can highly recommend the Rum cocktail Saskia has in her little book - all with limes grown right on our doorstep. Met some tremendous passionate people - trip out to the rainforest, spent the amazing christmas and new year for 2014 with the local church singing Christmas Carols. We spent Christmas night dancing and drinking Kava at the welangi village as their guests - so much fun and special to be included! Thank you! Cassandra & Laurie, Wellington, New Zealand"

  • Peaceful retreat

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage is surrounded by gorgeously beautiful plants and flowers. Bright colored wild parrots fly by, and other amazing birds. We had everything we needed to cook, and also enjoyed great meals in the quaint town of Savusavu. The Captain's Table Restaurant has a fish dish (Waloo) that is one of the best that I have ever eaten. It has a wonderful view, as you sit right on the water. Roy and Lisa were great hosts. There were available for advice and offer a great sounding fishing and/or snorkeling trip. (Unfortunately, we didn't have time) It's a quiet and peaceful spot and we much preferred it, over a noisy resort. We are already looking forward to our next trip, and will definitely try to book it again."

  • Splendid

"If I die tomorrow, it's OK because we took the trip of a lifetime. I've never seen such a beautiful place, including the ruins of the Yucatan, the Caribbean, Iceland, Venice, Paris and most of the US National Parks. Tropic Splendor Fiji is that perfect combination of pristine resort and local immersion. The owners, Jeff and Susan, have lived in Fiji for many years and not only knew all the "best spots" but seemed to delight in showing them to us, although they were never intrusive. One of the the bests things, other than the beauty and the outdoor fun, was completely relaxing because the island is friendly and safe. I've never been anywhere that the people were so gentle and welcoming, probably because they have great lives and seem to want for nothing. We were able to really experience the local culture and found that most would never dream of passing you without calling out a beautiful, sing-song "Bula." I think it means hello, I'm glad to see you, isn't it a beautiful day and hope you are happy too. The place is romantic (dips in the pool perfumed with jungle flowers, massages by the beach); fun (snorkeling, fishing, local markets); and moving (school kids proud of their classrooms, locals sharing their heritage). I just can't believe we discovered this heaven on earth."

  • Wonderful short stay, recommended! :)

"Hi there! I stayed at Maracuja for 5 nights in June 2014. I really enjoyed my stay. The views were excellent, there is a pool right down the steps which is lovely. A very lovely large patio as well, beautiful back yard! The villa is spacious and was clean when I moved in. There are actually three bedrooms, but I only needed one. Mario was very helpful with everything that I needed, and he was very generous with topping up the internet as I definitely used a lot of internet (downloading movies). I would definitely recommend the stay, as it is a very nice area and a decent price too! Thank you Mario for the wonderful stay, look forward to staying with you again. A few things to note, but not deter you from staying! 1. Taxi is by 4WD taxi only, 10 FJD to or from town. Get their numbers so that you can arrange pickup or drop off. 2. The villa Maracuja could use a little TLC on the wooden floors in the living room, several of the floor boards give when walking on them and are about to break. 3. Some of the lights dont work in villa Maracuja, or if they do I could not find a switch to turn them on. Labelling switches would be very useful for visitors. 4. More towels could be provided to the guests. Two towels at least. I asked Mario for towel and he provided. 5. There is no laundry in the villa. You have to arrange this with Mario. He picked up on Saturday and dropped off on Tuesday. Just so you are aware. Enjoy your stay. Savusavu is so beautiful, and the area where this rental property is located is absolutely stunning. Fiji people are very friendly and I will have pleasant memories from my stay. All the best to you."
