  • Awesome place to stay close to ocean/surf.

"Stayed here for a couple of days during a swell at Teahupoo. I loved it! Great location...close to surf break and ocean and awesome place to relax. Would definitely stay here again."

  • Perfection in Paea!!!

"We stayed in The Tarzan house over Christmas and New Years, it was the perfect place for us to explore and relax in Tahiti. The bungalows were so amazing and well kept. We loved that the kitchen and bath area were seperated from the living area. The jacuzzi was a great amenity because we had the nicest weather and it got hot :) The deck is where we spent every morning watching the fish in the lagoon, and every night with the beautiful sunsets. The flowers and shells and trees add to the privacy and all around beauty of the property. The owners are what makes this place so special though. A sweeter family you will be hard pressed to find. Laurence is a nonstop dynamo. She went above and beyond in everything we asked of her. Her husband Nicholas was super funny and nice. They invited us to Christmas dinner, so we met her extended family as well. We had a great time with them all. Laurence helped us rent a car which we took to Moorea on the ferry. It was super easy and fast, about 35 minutes for the crossing on the Armeti 5. She also told us about a day trip to Tetiaroa with Tahiti Voile Et Lagon. It was truly a great experience. The most beautiful water, white sand, fish and birds. The people that run that boat are a class act. The store across the street was a huge amenity and the people who work there were super sweet. Moonrae the restaurant a few doors down was also excellent with very nice people working there. Tahiti and the Tarzan house is the perfect base camp to explore the islands. We were always ready to come back to our house after a long day. Some days we did not move at all, well maybe to kayak in the lagoon :) Laurence, we miss you all already. You and your family made our stay perfect. I hope the bird next door has her babies. I hope your bird makes a full recovery, your son is a great caretaker of it :) Send Enzo to us when you are ready :) When we come back it must be for a month :)"

  • A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE in June 2014

"It was an exceptional time in a unique place, and only too short of a stay. The main house is very special, with every detail in superb taste. The traditional design with its thatched roof is a rare experience. It never needed air-conditioning as it is designed of air flow in an ingenious way. The additional members of our family stayed the tree house next door which the kids adored. The gardens are just beautiful, and obviously developed with love and taste. There smells were delicious. The beach in front is perfect for kids with beautiful water, and they couldn't get enough of it. We enjoyed seeing the local Tahitians enjoying the beach. I would chose this over a protected resort any day. Snack bars, pizza, chicken etc.. were a 2 minute drive away. This was handy with little kids when we really didn't want to cook or go to a fancy restaurant. Ever the perfect host -owner,Unutea supplied wonderful tropical fruit on our arrival which we enjoyed through our stay . She was very helpful with ideas and suggestions for our stay. I couldn't think of a better way to experience Tahitian life on Papeete than this unique and special spot. We had stayed on Moorea for couple of weeks but were really glad that we experienced this part of Papeete as well."
