"Our stay at the Tarzan Hut was incredible. We spent a total of two weeks in French Polynesia and our first 5 days were at the Tarzan Hut before leaving Tahiti for Rangiroa. Laurence was incredibly helpful throughout our entire stay, constantly helping us out with any thing we needed. She even gave us a ride to the airport on our last day when we couldn't get a cab because of a holiday. The property is located directly across the street from a local grocery store and next to a restaurant. The store has everything you could need including fresh fish and meat everyday. The lunch spot next door is a great place to grab a quick lunch. We spent most of our time surfing while in Tahiti and the location of the property is a great spot to access various surfing spots. Our surf instructor lived nearby and picked us up everyday. The accommodations were exactly as advertised. Our weather was great the whole time during our stay and we never had to close the windows. If you are looking get away from the crowded hotels near Papeete and get a genuine feel for life on Tahiti, I could not imagine a better place to do it. We had a blast talking with Laurence and her husband Nicolas. They made us cocktails one evening at sunset and we loved visiting with them and their son Giovani (not sure on the spelling) on their sun deck. We have already decided we will be coming back to visit them again. Than you Laurence for making our first part our honeymoon unforgettable."

"We have just spent a most relaxing and special holiday on Moorea as guests at the pension of Marie-Lou. From the first day we were welcomed as friends to her family of husband Gilles and friendly dogs Rex and Queenie. At the house we enjoyed comfortable accommodation with everything we needed. We even found treats in the fridge on our arrival! The position of the house allows ample space from the garden or deck to admire the mesmerising lagoon and the small pier is an excellent bonus for kayaking. Having grown up nearby, Marie-Lou was a wonderful source of helpful information from historical events to present day tourist possibilities. She was very generous with her time, taking us shopping and showing us local highlights. We so enjoyed the time spent with Marie and Gilles who are relaxed and entertaining hosts. Thank you for sharing your corner of paradise with us. We look forward to returning to your stunningly beautiful island. Caro & John"

"Our 10-day stay was better than imaged. We were picked up at the ferry, taken to local supermarket and then on the Motu Tamae, speaking English and given local information by the beautiful Joscelyn all the way. Entering the property was breathtaking. It is truly Polynesia.. A bountiful platter of fruit on the table, the sounds of the sea outside, and the shade of the coconut palms, the eye-catching art all around had us smiling with the knowledge we had chosen the right place. Other reviewers have stated many of the features I would highlight. No need for me. Even if everything wasn't as great has written, Joscelyn and Alain are. They are the reason you should come."

"We had a wonderful stay at Bungalow Moorea. The Bungalow was well set out, of good quality and the most comfortable beds! The kitchen was well stocked with basic groceries like flour, salt, pepper, oil etc glad wrap, Kleenex tissues and many pans, bowls and utensils. The hotplate heats up very fast. Isabelle had left juice, water, milk and butter and jam in the fridge and a large bowl of fresh fruit. In fact we were supplied with fresh spring water for our entire stay.
Isabelle and Jean Paul have a range of sizes of snorkels to use and the use of the inflatable paddle board. We got great use out of this. As told, it does take less than 5 mins to inflate and is light enough for one person to carry to the local beach! It comes in a back pack so would be easy to transport to other beaches and use.
We didn't have a rental car for our whole stay and found the local store (30 mins walk) back towards Maatea very well stocked. It actually has the better range of fresh salad and veggies. 30 mins walk in the opposite direction takes you to the fish shack. Poisson Cru (1000 cpf), 2 of these easily fed 3 of us....delicious fresh fish. We also tried the samosas, they were also very tasty. We have left the price list on the bungalow notice board.
Once we had our rental car, we bought fresh tuna sold on the roadside outside the marina. It is cut and sold in plastic bags. All caught fresh that afternoon. We got a piece that cost 1500 cpf and lasted the 3 of us 2 very generous meals.
Isabelle and Jean Paul were wonderful hosts. So full of helpful advice, attentive and incredibly generous people. The coconut show was fascinating and the Tahitian drink (mai tais) a 'must'.
The Lagoonarium was a highlight for us but another time would like to get out to the 2 Motu's by the intercontinental. Unfortunately we didn't hit the best week of weather.
We loved Moorea and felt it was a holiday that had the right balance of rest and activity. We would definitely recommend staying at Bungalow Moorea and hope to stay there again in the future.
Many thanks Jean Paul and Isabelle.
