End of the road perfection at the Green Room Villa
"It's hard to begin to describe what an amazing place waits for you at the end of the road. Teahupoo and the Green Room Villa absolutely exceeded our expectations. It all honesty it made our trip. It was perfect and was exactly as described.
As a long time surfer I have wanted to visit Tahiti forever. Surfing was the driving force behind our visit but in all honesty it was overshadowed by the amazing experience we had staying at Josh's place. We divided our vacation into two parts. One out the road for a more "country" experience and the second half we did the tourist overwater bungalow. For me the highlight was 110% Teahupoo and the greenroom villa. Although the hotel section was awesome in it's own right it's the truly authentic nature and hospitality of staying at a world class location with everything you need and nothing you don't that I will remember forever.
Life seemed to slow down. We enjoyed reading in the hammock on the porch, walking down to the point, exploring the canyon, hiking on the trails, swimming out the billabong tower, snorkeling in the lagoon and making cocktails while enjoying the sunset. It was absolutely perfect. We bought some fresh ahi our first day there and literally ate sashimi for every meal. It was awesome!
The setup is perfect. You have plenty of space, comfortable beds, a well appointed kitchen and you are within easy walking distance to everything you need. We stocked up on essentials at the Carefour (SP) on our way in and were perfectly content for our entire stay. It was so nice to feel welcomed into Josh's place and the community. It was exactly what we were looking for.
The surf was on the smaller side while we there and I guess that means we'll have to go back! I would highly recommend a stay at Teahupoo and specifically The Green Room Villa. Thanks again Josh."

"This is an exceptional rental with stunning views. We have rented many homes and this far exceeded the pictures. It has gorgeous views of the water. It's quiet with a huge terrace. Inside the decor and the design and the size of the rooms are excellent. there's lots of space and closets. The 2 bathrooms are large and everything is modern, up-to-date and very clean. The owner supplies everything you need for a comfortable stay (washer, dryer and dishwasher). Although the villa is up high, it's very close to beaches and restaurants. If you don't have a car, many of the restaurants will pick you up and drive you home. The owner is very helpful and offered many good tips. We wish we could have stayed longer."

"Fare Ylang Ylang was an ideal spot to spend our family vacation. It is located on the best section of Punaauia's white sand beach. We enjoyed the super quick walk (1 minute) down to the beach every morning and sunset. The lagoon out front was perfect for my 21 month old son and young niece who is learning how to swim. The main fare and bungalow were a highlight--very neat architecture throughout.
Our family enjoyed having morning coffee and eating our meals out on the deck...the gardens are beautiful and we loved the sweet scent of the Ylang Ylang blooms.
The amenities (cookware, towels, sheets) were suitable for our stay. I was impressed with the little special touches such as coffee, fruit and jam.
What made our stay extra special was our hostess Tea. She was very helpful (even pre-arrival) and generous. She was available if we had any questions and ensured we were comfortable everyday. If we did have a concern with the house (propane for shower, etc.), she addressed it quickly and efficiently. Mahalo nui loa Tea.
We all hope to return to this special piece of Tahitian paradise. 'A hui hou (until we meet again)."

"We have just spent a most relaxing and special holiday on Moorea as guests at the pension of Marie-Lou. From the first day we were welcomed as friends to her family of husband Gilles and friendly dogs Rex and Queenie. At the house we enjoyed comfortable accommodation with everything we needed. We even found treats in the fridge on our arrival! The position of the house allows ample space from the garden or deck to admire the mesmerising lagoon and the small pier is an excellent bonus for kayaking. Having grown up nearby, Marie-Lou was a wonderful source of helpful information from historical events to present day tourist possibilities. She was very generous with her time, taking us shopping and showing us local highlights. We so enjoyed the time spent with Marie and Gilles who are relaxed and entertaining hosts. Thank you for sharing your corner of paradise with us. We look forward to returning to your stunningly beautiful island. Caro & John"
