"We rented this cabin with 2 other couples with the idea that there would be enough places to sleep for everyone, and there sure was. This cabin was right on the money and the property itself was perfect. Great hot tub and wonderful information right on the table as you walked in. More than enough blankets and pillows and great location in the valley. If you are up here you must hit Silver Creek Plunge, it's an amazing natural hot springs pool. Many thanks go out to the owner/managers of this property for making our stay perfect . . . . without any communication or face to face . . . . they did an amazing job!! We will be renting this cabin again in the future"Guest: Levi Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: June 12, 2014View listing
"This is a great property to stay and relax at. The cabin and property is extremely clean and well maintained. The area is very quiet and full of pine trees. We love this little town it is always very enjoyable for the children and adults. Payette Lake, Davis beach and Ponderosa State Park, which has a boat launch, are great addition to have nearby. Sunsets at Davis beach were worth the evening walk. We walked to downtown during our visit and each time had deer and other wildlife to see and enjoy. We spent our Mornings sharing at the large granite island in the kitchen. We would recommend this property to anyone coming to the McCall area."Guest: Rick Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: August 4, 2014View listing
"We rented the house for a wedding weekend and it held our family of four married couples and three little grandsons just perfectly. We enjoyed the big farmhouse kitchen, the huge back yard with picnic tables, fire pit, and plenty of chairs, the garage for storing our bikes, and the remodeled basement bathroom. The house was well equipped and very comfortable, plus convenient to Pilgrim's Market. We all enjoyed it very much and would definitely rent it again!"Guest: Travelling Family Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: September 17, 2014View listing
"We really enjoyed our stay at this condo. It had everything one would need to enjoy a stay on the lake. Very quiet, but only a few minutes from town. The property was in excellent condition, and we would stay here again."Guest: bj h. Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: September 23, 2014View listing

Sun Valley, Idaho for Fun in the Sun and Snow
Sun Valley, in Blaine County, Idaho, is known as the "Grand Dame" of ski resorts. The name Sun Valley is used to describe the resort itself and the region generally--the valley area south of Hailey and the city of Ketchum. To get to Sun Valley travel could not be easier. Just 2.5 hours drive through scenic vistas from the major airport at Boise, the area is also served by Friedman Memorial Airport which is less than 15 miles away. By road, the Sun Valley is easily accessible from Interstate 85 and State Highway 75 running through the region. Find the Perfect Snow in Sun Valley, Idaho
With over 250 days of sun per year, you may believe that it is not an ideal ski location but you would be wrong. The days may be glorious and sunny but the nights bring the snow and each morning, the snow conditions are fabulous. More advanced skiers head to Bald Mountain, affectionately known as "Baldy," for its challenging conditions. It has a variety of constant-pitch terrain of assorted difficulty levels, a 3,400-foot (1,036 m) vertical drop and little wind. Among serious skiers, Baldy is reputed to be the best mountain in the world. Beginners and intermediate skiers will find the treeless Dollar Mountain perfect for developing their skills and learning. For winter visitors who enjoy fishing, there is an opportunity to try the challenges of ice fishing at several rivers and lakes.
Don’t Miss the Spectacular Sun in Sun Valley’s Summer
When the snow melts and the temperatures climb, Sun Valley is rapidly gaining popularity as an ideal outdoor location for family fun. The Sawtooth National Forest has a variety of recreational activities to suit everyone. Much of the forest is primitive and undeveloped wilderness, great for exploring and getting back to nature. It is also an archeological area with almost 1,500 heritage sites to discover. It offers a great opportunity to learn about the area and its archeology, and understand the importance of the natural environment. The area has a wealth of hiking and backpacking trails, horseback riding, mountain biking, trail biking, and both lake and river fishing.
There is no better way to get a feel for how the original settlers and inhabitants explored the area than on horseback. The area has some spectacular riding trails, one of the best of which is Cold Canyon. It is a scenic ride, best seen in late summer and early fall when the fall colors are in their prime. Many of these trails are closed to motorized vehicles, making for safe, scenic, peaceful rides.
The fishing season starts in May, usually on Memorial Day, and licenses can be obtained at local stores. The main fishing areas include Big Wood River, the North and Mile Fork of the Boise River, and part of the Payette River. Species in abundance in the rivers include several varieties of trout, such as rainbow, golden, brook and cutthroat. The best early season fishing is at the Salmon River Drainage.
