  • Awesome Multi-generational fun!

"I can't say enough great things about Marchand House, we just returned from a week there and just hated to leave! We brought our infant twins and their Grandparents as well as my cousin and a few aunts...the place is BIG! The house is great - comfortable, very nice decor, well appointed and without that sterile rental house feeling. It is like staying in the home of your super fun, well off family friend. There are plenty of places to hang out inside and outside. Everybody loved the giant hot tub and made it even better with the indoor/outdoor speakers, great seating area and outdoor lighting. We also loved taking the kids down the dock every day and having cocktails and watching the sun set. One afternoon dolphins came right up to the edge of the dock! There are also lots of places inside to hang out, nice seating areas, 2 dining areas and a comfy living room. We were in town for a family wedding and it was just the perfect place for the family to spend time together when we were not going to parties etc. There are so many cool places to go on the scenic highway (not to meantion all of the great restaurants and shops in Fairhope), and although we had an excellent dinner at the Wash House (about 3 minutes away) one night, we really did not want to leave the house! It was just more fun to stay there and cook, drink wine and visit. The downside? I could never really figure out the cable TV channels but who wants to watch TV anyway? There is so much more to do. We already love Fairhope and the area but really enjoyed Marchand House and told Tena the owner that we look forward to returning every year! If you have even a small family, this is the perfect house...for the price of just 2 hotel rooms (or one at the Grand!) it is the perfect place to host your family and totally worth it!"

  • Good times at Happy Anniversary House!

"Our family (3 generations) spent two weeks in this delightful home on the bay. The pier and the covered bathhouse is wonderful - loved having coffee each morning watching pelicans soar by and dive bomb for fish. We enjoyed seeing beautiful sunsets, swimming, crabbing and fishing. The screened porch is delightful. We enjoyed having family and friends visit us. This home is very comfortable and has a great floor plan."
