  • Big Bang for the Buck!

"My family walked in, and said OMG!! :) It's a very spacious and impressive log home indeed, with great water views and a massive deck. Family members of all ages loved the private boat dock, pier, and beach. We also liked the country feel with very low traffic, yet the home is less than 15 minutes from all major grocery stores, restaurants, etc. in the lovely town of Fairhope--which is also worth a visit. We didn't have to spend any of our vacation time fighting traffic, lines, or crowds, which we consider a WINNER! Inside the home, we loved the expansive great room, pool table, well-equipped kitchen, and the privacy of the bedrooms. We highly recommend this property, and plan to return ourselves."

  • Outstanding experience!

"Great four night stay. Spent a lot of time on the porch overlooking the water. With the prevailing wind being from the southwest during our stay, blowing direct from the open gulf, there was enough surf to enjoy the waves splashing on the rocks, giving us a real oceanfront setting. While we did not crab, there is obviously a large population, as we lifted several while fishing. If that's your bag, there are crab traps under the house to capture these critters. We are fishermen, and enjoyed catching Croaker, Hardhead Catfish and plate sized sting rays from the pier. The place is very clean, and the area extremely quiet. We also enjoyed watching the ship traffic come and go. And if you are a birder, this is the pelican, royal tern and laughing gull epi-center. If you are looking for a place close enough to the hassle of the beach, if that's your deal, but far enough away to be very peaceful, this is it!"

  • Delightful in every respect

"Along with my niece and her mother, I enjoyed two wonderful days at the Chic and Cute Cottage over the past Christmas season. Immediately I wished I had booked our entire stay in Fairhope at this delightful accommodation. The owners have created a unique blend of old world charm and modern conveniences to offer a rental experience that is unparalleled in my opinion. Karen was exceptionally attentive to our every need and ensured that our stay at their cottage exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we entered the front door, the cottage seemed to wrap its arms around us, inviting us to relax in warmth and comfort. Located on a beautiful lot in an ideal location, this unique rental provided us with every amenity we required and even more than we anticipated. I would return in a heartbeat and highly recommend the Cute and Chic cottage to any traveller fortunate enough to discover this gem tucked away in a beautiful district within the lovely community of Fairhope, Alabama."

  • Great Labor Day Weekend

"We enjoyed our 4 day stay on Mobile Bay. The house was just perfect for our families needs. We loved sitting on the pier drinking coffee and watching the sunrise. In the evenings the kids really enjoyed fishing. We were also able to do a little waterskiing. The boat launch was really convient. It's only a few hundred yards away. The check in and out process was made very easy. We cannot wait to return. We are going to try to make it a family tradition to stay each year at this particular bay house."
