"We were fortunate to find this Plantation Dunes Condo. What an exceptional value this unit is. The unit is spacious with a new updated kitchen. There are several pools to choose from and we never had a problem finding space at one of the pools. The beach access is located close to the pools with a wonderful beach to enjoy either for walks or to rent a chair and umbrella for the day. The balcony has comfortable seating and excellent views to enjoy. Sun rises from the balcony in the morning and sunsets on the beach make a perfect beginning and end to your day.
Stop on your way in for groceries and supplies for your stay. Dining options are limited but it is a nice ride into Gulf Shores or Orange Beach for dinner. There are also grills that you can use to prepare your meals.
If you are looking for a quiet area away from the crowds Where you can find nature trails, historical fort and wonderful beach to walk this is a good choice."

"We spent a very pleasant week in this condo and would definitely stay again. I love to cook and I really appreciated the storage and counter space of the upgraded kitchen -- very easy to work in and rather classy. We've stayed in other condos, and this is the nicest in its price range. The master bedroom is very nice and serene. My husband and I thought the king size bed was very comfortable, and we just loved the walk-in shower in the master bath.
Overall, the condo was well kept and convenient to all the outdoor activities and beach. We look forward to returning again next year. Thank you for providing us the opportunity for a great experience along such a beautiful beach!"

"Totally awesome and relaxing week with my family (Wife and 5 kids...19,18,13,10 and 4...whew)! Last minute trip to the beach before school kicks up....I cannot recommend a better way to spend the last week, or any week for that matter, of summer! On top of the perfect location, the secluded and uncrowded beaches, the short trip "into" town and the peaceful all around feeling you get at The Rookery, Lee and Jackie Moss went out of their way to extend a generous dose of genuine Southern Hospitality to us Texans.....What started off as a vacation debacle on the way to Fort Morgan, was absolutely turned around by these two beautiful folks from Atlanta that made our stay in Fort Morgan, THE BEST WEEK EVER!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND this beautiful cottage and these owners!"

"My parents, my daughter (age 6) and I spent a week at this condo in late September. We were blessed with thunderstorms and a freezing cold north wind for most of our visit, so our time on the beach and in the pool was limited. This condo did not disappoint! We had a great kitchen to prepare meals in when we didn't want to get out. Everyone had their own space to read, watch tv, or play games in, so there was no cabin fever. Darryl was in town while we were there and came by and visited with my parents (the child and I were spending our 2 hours in the freezing pool water). While he was there, he noticed that the furniture on the balcony was worn and the next day, he called to let us know it was being replaced! We couldn't ask for better hosts!
The condo building is very convenient to the beach. The elevators were super fast and there are lots of shopping carts and luggage carts to help you get your things to and from the condo (although, when we left on Saturday at 7AM, all of the luggage carts were taken already...). The swings overlooking the beach were calling my name on numerous occasions, but the wind was just sooo cold!
The only complaint I would have has nothing to do with the living space. The pool for the building was not maintained at all while we were there. Storms at the beginning of the week dropped at least 2" of rain, causing the pools to overflow, and lots of debris from the surrounding trees and flowerbeds was floating in the water. I never saw anyone skimming the debris or working to balance the chemicals at the pool for the building, but they were always working on the pool that was part of the clubhouse next door. To use that clubhouse pool, there is a daily fee that we couldn't justify for a couple of hours for a couple of people to swim.
Rotolo's Pizza in Orange Beach and LuLu's were our favorite places to eat! We played mini golf at Adventure Island and shopped two days at the Foley outlet mall. Even in the fall, there are tons of things to keep occupied in this area!"
