  • Slice of Paradise for a multi-family vacation

"A baseball tournament for our 14 year old son brought us and several other families to Gulf Shores. We had very specific needs to ensure privacy for the four families and this house was PERFECT. This house offers two things that are hard to find in the area, four master KING bedrooms all with private baths and a Sunday to Sunday rental. Two of the masters are in the front of the house on the first floor, and the other two are upstairs with wonderful views of the gulf and a shared balcony. The five fourteen year old boys shared an upstairs bunk room with six beds and a private bath. The three teen girls shared another upstairs bedroom with four beds and another private bath. A seventh half bath is conveniently located off the kitchen on the first floor. The great room and kitchen are very spacious and comfortable with a wall of windows offering a magnificent gulf view. We cooked at the house nearly every night and had everything we needed. The laundry is just off the kitchen and the extra fridge was a great perk. The back deck is wide with several adirondack chairs, that lovely view, and a breeze every evening. The beach was simply gorgeous with lots of white sand, and even though we were there the week of the 4th, it was never crowded. We spent countless hours relaxing in our beach chairs, with our feet in the water. There are several sand bars just off the shore that make it ideal for even younger kids to safely navigate the waves. This house is off the beaten track, and we were a bit concerned about the location as our baseball games were all in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. However, the road is in great condition, and you can cruise 55 mph without encountering any traffic until you actually arrive in town. If you are looking for some seclusion away from the craziness of downtown, this is the place! There is a convenience store just down the road from the house, "Sassy Bass" that we frequented for ice, drinks, assorted sundries, and even beach toys and hats. The only things that prevented an "excellent" rating were a few conveniences that the house didn't offer. We had to lug four beach chairs from Illinois, as well as all towels. I would pay a bit more for these conveniences to be included. Considering the size of the house, a large gas grill would be ideal (it has an old charcoal one). Glenn, the owner, was wonderfully accommodating and answered my many questions quickly. You won't be disappointed by the Court House and we'd love to come back!"

  • Great House

"We stayed for the first week of 2015 and the house is lovely. The pictures don't show much so I will elaborate. The master bedroom is pretty large and roomy. The bed is comfortable. There was a TV in the bedroom. There are entrances to the large deck via the Master Bedroom and the living room. The neighborhood is quite also. Both bathrooms are well appointed. The kitchen had all of the equipment that we needed and more. I cooked most mornings we were there. We ate at the two local hangouts, Sassy Bass and The Pines. Both were great. The Pines is more affordable but The Sassy Bass was delicious also. Both are well worth it and close by. The weather was quite windy but I managed to get out and walk to the beach twice a day. The beach here is great. It is not that wide (it appears very natural) and it is dog friendly (our reason for choosing Fort Morgan in the first place). We would definitely stay here our next trip if she wasn't already booked. She keeps a full calender it seems so if it is open you need to grab it. The beach was a short walk (about 5 minutes). My husband doesn't really walk that much (due to health reasons) so we did drive to Cortez St to a public beach down the rode that you park at once for him to go out on the beach. I love Fort Morgan for the solitude and lack of high rise condos."

  • Great Beach

"Loved the Fort Morgan side which is away from the hustle of Gulf Shores. The room is on the second floor with access to an elevator or just up one flight of stairs. We would stay here again. Thanks,"
