  • The Difference between a GOOD and a GREAT Spring Break Vacation

"This is a nice size house with plenty of bedrooms for our extended family and a great heated pool that my grandchildren love. There is enough seating for our large family to breakfast at the house, then our mornings start with swimming in the heated pool at 9 am, a break for lunch at the picnic tables out back and then an afternoon excursion. We have visited the local zoo, gone to the beach, gone to Pensacola to see the Blue Angels practice(which is free) and toured the museum (also free), We went deep sea fishing one afternoon and had a local restaurant cook our catch for supper. We toured the USS Alabama in Mobile. There are also arcade type things for kids just up the road. Late afternoons catch us back in the pool or the kids playing in the sand area out back--then visiting some of the local restaurants or cooking on the grill at the house. It was the first time for some of the kids to visit Lambert's Restaurant--they loved the tossed rolls and antics. We usually visit LuLu's and the kids play in the sand while we wait on our food. We end the day back at the house in the evening where there is room to relax - enough seating and private bedrooms with TV's. The house is nicely furnished and the kitchen is well stocked with appliances, pots & pans, and dishware. There is plenty of parking for all of our cars. The owners go the extra mile if you need something or have a problem, all you have to do is ask. My granddaughter said this was the best spring break vacation EVER."

  • Enjoyable family vacation

"We had a family of 8 adults and 3 children. Each family had their own space and the kids had their own room. Nicely decorated and well equipped kitchen. We moved the game table next to the other table so all the adults could sit together. The Children ate at the bar. The grill needs cleaning and a full propane tank. Some nails on decks & stairs need to be pounded in. A lot of lights were not working but owner sent someone over to fix. The baby birds were born and there was a lot of poop on the deck. The children played in the lagoon mostly. We did buy a wagon to carry our beach chairs to the Gulf side. The decks are very nice. We had to carry our folding chairs from deck to deck to enjoy the breeze and views. In conclusion this is a great home and our entire family had a great time. We will return in the future. The owner responded to our concerns and was very sincere in our contacts with her. The children spent most of their time at the lagoon. We did go to the Gulf beach a few times-bought a carry wagon. We moved our folding chairs from deck to deck. Nice views from all decks but a hassle with the chairs."

  • Vacation from the Mid-West

"The beach house was spotless when we got there. Everything worked and the owner was great to work with. BVeautiful Gulph Views and enough to do in the area to keep anyone busy for a week. We had bad weather the 1st 4 days but explored the surrounding. Great places to dine in the area. New Orleans is a short drive, (3hrs) away and I highly recommend taking the ferry from Ft. Morgan to Dalphine Island and head to Captain Franks BBQ in Byou La-Batery. By far some of the best food we had. Pennsicola FL. is only 45min. away and the Naval Air museum is a must."

  • Family Getaway

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The location of this home was perfect for us...kayaking and enjoying the sunsets on Little Lagoon and the short walk across to the beach. The small grocery store on the corner was really convenient. The porch and connecting deck were perfect for cooking out and for containing my 3 year old! We'll certainly be back! J"
