  • Excellent vacation

"Honeycomb hideout is a beautiful home with everything you could need close by. Our entire family enjoyed every moment from the fishing on lake Guntersville to the family time spent at the house. It is truly a home away from home atmosphere. Only negative thing was the boat lift in the boat house obviously is not part of the rental anymore. Wasn't a vacation killer at all but that was one of the reasons honeycomb hideout was chosen. All in all definitely a vacation rental I would return to anytime without a second thought!"

  • Perfect!!

"My husband and I just spent a long weekend at "The Bungalow". We had a wonderful experience. The house is very clean, well equipped, and comfortable. The lake view is gorgeous (the pics do not do it justice) and the lawn gently slopes down to the dock from the large, covered deck. Joanna (the owner) was the most personable landlord we have ever interacted with, she even checked in with us to make sure we arrived safely. Very professional. I couldn't recommend this property more, and we defiantly will be back."

  • Best Lake House We've Ever Rented!

"I echo all the positive comments by other guests. We have rented 5 lake houses over the past few years (this being the first on Lake Guntersville) and the Pate Lake House is the best. Docking the boat directly on the lake - priceless! Clean, comfortable, beautiful view, owners that are honest and truly care - all the qualities you hope for, are delivered when you rent this home. For us personally, fishing was tough this week, but we have fished Guntersville before and know what it is capable of. We hope to come back and try again another time of year. My daughter and I spent a day exploring and enjoyed visiting Guntersville State Park again, went to Buck's Pocket State Park (waste of time) and then visited Scottsboro. Unclaimed Baggage is the town's claim to fame...if you look at it like a big indoor garage sale, it's kinda fun looking at the stuff. But we found Scottsboro's town square, around their court house and city hall area. It was like stepping back in time. We are easily amused, this was very few simple stores, but there is a neat soda shop there called Payne's Sandwich Shop and Soda Fountain...definitely worth the trip that day. Also we stumbled upon Scottsboro Tackle Company also in the square around the court house. This store was really great! Good prices and awesome variety - definitely worth a trip if you are looking for lures, line, or some good fishing tips."

  • Loved it!!

"Just received a text from my daughter - "Did I tell you how much fun I had this weekend? Loved it! LOVED IT!! My wife and I rented the Two Cabins for a weekend with our children, our niece and their families. We are from Nashville, Atlanta, and Mississippi, making it a very convenient meeting place. Everyone loved the cabins and facilities and we had a lot of fun fixing meals and eating on the picnic table in the kitchen. The kids spent every day on the lake fishing, skiing and tubing and we oldsters mostly sat on the porch, talked and snacked. Our favorite night was around the campfire down the hill where we made s'mores, told ghost stories, saw a shooting star real close and discussed what we would do in case of a zombie attack. Thanks for a wonderful weekend with our family. We are already planning for next year."
