"Stayed at Oakhurst for my son's wedding in Huntsville. Location was excellent with easy access to the research park and downtown. The house had plenty of space inside and out.The back patio and pool area were great for social gatherings. Lighting in the back and in some rooms were a little hard to figure out. All in all, a great place and we look forward to renting here again. Many thanks to Al and Candy for sharing their resort like home!!"

"Just returned from a week's stay at Luna while son attended space camp. Easy access to main roads, with drive to US Space Center about 10-15 minutes. The condo is very clean. The neighborhood is mostly condos/apartments, but it is so quiet!! Kitchen has all you need to prepare meals. Both bedrooms are upstairs, with full bath upstairs and half bath downstairs. Wi-Fi was fast. Good TV's with plenty of stations. The condo appears dated from the outside, but the interior is surprising. Much more economical than hotel, and having two separate bedrooms, along with a kitchen for this price is great deal. Loved being able to park just outside the door. Close to several restaurants and shopping areas. Would definitely stay here again."

"Given the spacious floor plan and two bedrooms, my husband and I were able to invite our grown daughter to join us on our return to Huntsville for a family wedding. We stayed 4 days and we found the condo very clean and well appointed. In fact it was perfect for our needs. The large living room was comfortable and well decorated enabling us to host and visit with family and friends comfortably in our own space. We truly felt at home, away from home. We plan to stay again ;o) Carla Biggart"

"The time we had at Bama House was everything we thought it would be and more. Leading up to our visit was equally as nice as the Kallay’s were wonderful to work with. Because of them our first time using VRBO will not be our last as our first visit to Bama House will not be our last! The home (it’s not just a house) had all the amenities and then some and was just as the pictures you see on VRBO. We were tickled pink with bubbles when we drove up. I knew once inside it was going to be just as Elaine said and we were not going to want to leave to do day trips. She said she never wanted to leave while there. I see why! Foodland is close and we went there daily to purchase our grill item for the upcoming evening along with yummy fresh fruits and veggies. We swam in the lake, jumped from the roof, grilled out and sat by the fire pit each night watching the stars get brighter and brighter as the sky darkened. We laid out late one night under the stars as the lightening bugs flickered all around and both my husband and I saw a shooting star at different times. My 8 year old never wanted to leave. He fished, swam, caught a lightening bug for the first time, and so much more. There were chipmunks all around. They were so cute and have holes that they dart in and out of. In Florida we only have squirrels. We ventured in our blow up boat to the adjacent island and explored for hours. We found cypress roots attached to God only knows how old of trees, an animal skull of some sort and I found an arrowhead. We did go to Dismal’s Canyon one morning, which I believe was about an hour away and it was a very neat thing to do, but once done we hightailed it back to Bama House. Across the street is a large field. It was full of wheat, again, something we don’t see where we live. It was harvesting season and when we left one morning to head to our friendly Foodland the field was full of beautiful wheat (we each pulled one piece of wheat as a souvenir …surely they won’t miss 3). When we came back the field had been harvested. Pretty cool to see. On our last day we sat on the swing under the porch and watched a beautiful storm blow in and out. As the sky changed back to blue the neighbor let his doves out for a fly. It was beautiful. Every part of Bama House was amazing to us. We now plan to make it an annual family tradition. Thank you so much, Elaine and Tom, for the opportunity to make such special memories and for sharing your treasure.
