"We stayed on Lake Wedowee for some R& R. It was a great place to stay. Sooooo Peaceful, just what we needed. Great view, great hosts, (thank you Bobbie & Carolyn) great weather, need I say more:-) the lake house is nestled amongst trees , birds and beauty. Lots of room to roam. So again , thanks to our wonderful & extremely informative hosts, our stay was great!! not to mention the great rate. And we got to bring our dog which is very important to us."

"First of all, this was a mother/daughter trip with 13 ladies ranging from ages 35-68. The lake is absolutely beautiful, with water was so clear that we all got in the lake and floated around. The house is spacious and very clean. Plenty of room for us all to sleep and get away from each other when we needed a break. The decks on the bottom and middle floor were exactly what we needed to just hang out and visit. The kitchen is a little small but it's well stocked and it served our purpose of warming up food. The stairs...oh the stairs...when you go to the lake make sure you plan accordingly and bring EVERYTHING you need to be there for a while. The stairs are in excellent shape (looks like they were just replaced) but it's a hike back up...70 steps to be exact and they are steep. Every single one of us went to the lake several times each day so we all managed the stairs but we definitely got a work out. The stairs actually have a very good layout because they could have been steeper and there are landings so you can rest a bit on the way back up. My only complaint is there is no wifi here. Everyone of us except 1 has AT&T cell service and no one had service once we got to the house. We actually had to get almost into town to get any type of service. The other person had Verizon and did have service so luckily we weren't without a phone. Wifi would have been nice to be able to text from our cellphones and send emails. But then again we are all so connected that a weekend without service was kind of nice :)"

"My family stayed four nights. The house is beautiful, well appointed and very spacious. My teens loved using the kayaks, canoe and fishing gear, exploring the lake and fishing. We considered renting a pontoon boat but with all the watercraft that comes with this rental, we really didn't need to. Teens also enjoyed having their own space downstairs with the pig pong table, entertainment center and even another fridge. We spent time on the screened in porch and the covered deck overlooking the water. Both are filled with comfortable furniture and both have a swing and overhead ceiling fans. There are two docks, one covered and one not. We spent every evening on the covered dock fishing and watching the sun set. Beds are comfortable and there are enough pillows and blankets for a small army. Ice maker in the kitchen was good for filling up coolers for a day on the lake. The owners were friendly and accessible. Highly recommend this property. We will be back."
