  • Wonderful house with a great view

"This house was very clean and well maintained. The walk down to the lake was not bad compared to some other house on Smith Lake. The 2 story dock was a lot of fun as was the slide. We would love to stay here again!"

  • "Absolutely Exceeded Our Expectations"

"This trip was in the planning stages for several months this past winter. It started out with my wife and I plus our 3 grandchildren from our hometown in MI and in addition our oldest grandchild from AZ. It ended up being both of our daughters and all 6 of our grandchildren. We have very dear friends that live about 2-3 miles (by boat) from this home. We've been to Smith Lake on six previous occassions, staying with our friends at their home. First of all, I can't say enough regarding the consideration, cooperation and friendliness of the owners, they are very wonderful and caring people. The description, pictures and overall condition of this home is 100% accurate. As you probably noted there were 10 of us, suggested maxumum, 4 adults and 6 children, it worked out fine and everyone was A-OK with the arrangements. It was very clean and well maintained. For anything needed, due to oversight in packing, several stores are nearby and easy to get to. Other than being with our friends our main reason for going to Smith Lake was for watersports. I have a Coblat 190 and it fit into the covered dock area easily. The swimming area was great and all of us, especially the kids, thourghly enjoyed it. The bridge access to the dock area and the dock/swimming areas had just had all new wood replacement. The boat launch/marina is nearby and very convenient, the boat launch/docking is very good and user friendly, the gas pump area even has an after hours access via credit cards (15 gallon maximum per pumping). Smith Lake is fantastic and the body of water is one of the cleanest in the nation. Our comparison destination for our watersports trips is Norris Lake near Knoxville, TN, the only edge it has on Smith Lake is being closer to MI. In conclusion I would have no hesitaion whatsoever with recomending this home to any of my friends, acquantences or relatives. The best overall recommendation about this home, and it's location on Smith Lake, is from our 6 grandchildren, ages 6-14, they loved it and all their respective friends and relatives have heard about it on a daily basis, "Really", ever since we got back. They had a super time. This was a very special and most memorable vacation for our family, first time for the grandkids to be at a lake like this, and this home was a major role in creating those countless, very precious moments. We look forward to the probability of many more trips to this home and Smith Lake in the years to come."

  • Texas Twin Momma

"This property was AWESOME! It was so welcoming and renter-ready. Diane had everything we needed there for us, and even left us a watermelon for the kiddos. We felt comfortable; and although her furnishings were first class, the place was not untouchable. We loved the porch with the relaxing chairs and lights! We loved the big kitchen with island. She has plenty of linens and clean drawers for guests. We had lots of family and cooked great meals! It was especially nice to have TWO washer/dryers! We really enjoyed ourselves here! Thank you for a wonderful stay! Many blessings to you all!"
