  • Family Get together

"Loved everything about the house! Enough spaces for everyone to sit and enjoy each other. The outdoor space was as good as the indoor space! Sat around the fire every night."

  • Our favorite place on Smith Lake

"This is the most wonderful house on absolutely the perfect spot on Smith Lake! The house is spacious and affords privacy to multiple families while providing great gathering areas for meals and good old-fashioned visiting. The kitchen easily accommodated three or four of us at a time prepping and cooking delicious meals. And the jewel of the house has to be the screened porch where we spent every morning with our coffee. The dock is an easy walk down a few steps and also accommodated our group very well. The location on the lake is absolutely the best for great skiing and wake boarding. Wonderful quiet water gave us many hours of enjoyable paddle boarding and floating. We will return!"

  • Wonderful house with a great view

"This house was very clean and well maintained. The walk down to the lake was not bad compared to some other house on Smith Lake. The 2 story dock was a lot of fun as was the slide. We would love to stay here again!"

Lewis Smith Lake Travel Tips

Enjoying the Views at Lewis Smith Lake Vacation Rentals

Listing vacation rentals where you could be on a lake in summer would take a very long time, since most states have at least a few places on lakes. Despite these numerous locations throughout the U.S., you might want to consider Lewis Smith Lake vacation rentals. With these rentals, you are right on Lewis Smith Lake for any recreational activity you might want to enjoy. In fact there are several owners of houseboats that sit in the lake where you can enjoy the views. There are also rentals with boat ramps so you can get your adventure craft out on the lake. The towns of Jasper and Curry are also very close to Lewis Smith Lake for a number of opportunities like golfing, restaurants, and shopping.

The Amenities of Lewis Smith Lake Houses

A great reason for choosing Lewis Smith Lake houses over hotels are the amenities you receive. The ideal vacation home will offer you air conditioning, washers, dryers, plenty of parking, and all linens. With Lewis Smith Lake condos, you can also be assured of cable television, DVD players, CD players, VCRs, and full kitchens. By booking this type of accommodation, you are not only on a budget vacation but able to make your meals and stay out of restaurants. All too often restaurants offer salty meals so if you have special needs, you cannot do better than having a kitchen to cook in. They also have a couple of chain restaurants such as Ruby Tuesdays and Jim & Nicks BBQ.

The area around the lake is populated with numerous homes, used for summer and all year-round living. These homes are luxury places with three to four bedrooms. Some of your options will even fit 30 people if you are having a large party. With the amenities listed above and the space you have available, the only thing left is finding something to do besides sit in a hammock all day. For those who are extremely active, you have plenty of attractions available.

Working Your Way Toward Endless Summer Fun

From your vacation rentals, you have the lake with boating, swimming, fishing, and jet skiing. The dam and lake are also very close to other waterway systems if you enjoy a bit of snorkeling and diving. Lake diving may lack some of the color of tropical fish but you can bet on a few sunken treasures to keep your interest piqued. Lewis Smith Lake is one place to launch your boat. You also have the William B. Bankhead National Park just a few minutes' drive from your vacation rental. The park is full of recreational activities including picnicking, hiking, boating, and biking. There are several biking trails if you enjoy a good ride through a forest. It is the closest natural attraction besides the numerous lakes of the area.
