"This was our second trip to The High Horse Lodge. Harriett and Steve have done a wonderful job in maintaining the property. The home is sparkling clean and well stocked with all the necessities. We started our days with coffee on the front screened porch with a wonderful view of the mountain ridge. Then off to spend several hours exploring the many trails on the property. Rushing streams, waterfalls, and rock outcroppings are just a few of the many things to see on the property. Although Cloudland and Mentone are beautiful to see, you really never need to leave the property. We ended each day where we started with a great view of the sun setting. You truly won't find a more peaceful place.
We have stayed in many VRBOs and have yet to find hosts as gracious and nice as Harriett and Steve. Thanks again for letting us stay."

"As before we were very pleased with your little slice of heaven on the mountain. All the little extras you do make it feel like home. Thank you for opening your home for us. Maybe next time I'll see some deer."

"We couldn't have asked for a better place to unwind! It was just my husband and me, and really, the pictures don't do the place justice. It was cozy and comfortable -- outdoor spaces and inside spaces. We cooked and had everything we needed. My husband enjoyed the TVs. We loved walking down to the creek and how quiet it was. We ate dinner one night at Wildflower Cafe (make a reservation! It's the only game in town and can be busy!) and also went to Cloudland Canyon State Park for the arts & craft fair (which was still fun, even though it was rainy and foggy). Internet worked great, which helped make up for the poor cell phone reception. So relaxing, and Michelle was a pleasure to work with. Whatever the weather, this is your place!"

"The views around this area are breathtaking at this time of the year! The house itself was clean, comfortable and cozy! We had everything we needed during our stay. The hot tub is great with the outdoor entertainment area! Awesome selection of DVDs to pick from too! The only thing I wish we would've done differently is went grocery shopping before we got to the cabin. There are restaurants around but while we were there everything was closed (maybe seasonally or just for the weekend we couldn't tell) We will definitely stay at the loony bin again! We love it!"
