  • Beautiful Place

"My husband and I spent five wonderful days at Ritz on the Rocks. The place was spotless and furnishing unique and beautiful. The bed was very comfortable but nothing inside the cottage could even compare to the view! The whole side of the bedroom is glass and the most enjoyable thing was falling asleep while looking out at the lights in the valley and watching fire flies (known as lightning bugs in South Georgia!). Morning coffee outside was so enjoyable....I just could go on and on. We had the pleasure of meeting Tony during our visit. We found him to be very personable, funny, cute and did everything to make our stay pleasant.....bless his heart. We would highly recommend this place and hope to go again soon."

  • Great place!

"We stayed for a long weekend with our two year old and had an absolute blast. The cabin is equipped with everything you would need including pantry staples and is very clean. The house also has games and tons of childrens books that make it nice when travelling with little ones (although he was equally thrilled with the horseshoe pit out back and bell that hangs at the patio door). Harriet and Steve were fantastic! They gave us great recommendations of everything from restaurants to places to see. Our little one loved seeing the goats and picking eggs from the chicken house to eat the next day. We also took a day trip to Chattanooga for the aquarium, but had the most fun at Little River Canyon. Would definitely recommend this place and we will be going back again for sure."

  • Beautiful Family Vacation

"We arrived and were wowed by the beauty of the cabin. It was so clean and perfect for our family. We loved the set up of the bedrooms upstairs. Our little girl felt safe. It was super! The cabin is VERY convenient to all the parks. The hike by the cabin was great! We had a blast and it was the perfect relaxing trip that we needed:) My daughter didn't want to leave."

  • Anniversary Getaway

"My husband and I spent a wonderfully quiet weekend at Hawk's Nest Hideaway. It is a beautiful area. The cabin sits by itself and is very private. Spacious inside, it is beautifully decorated with all the amenities, as well as clean and well maintained. Just take your clothes and food...it's that easy. Also, it is close enough to drive to the surrounding towns and there are tons of things to do in the area. Mentone is a small town but plentiful in shops and diners. In one day we went to Fort Payne for breakfast, Scottsboro to the Unclaimed Baggage Store, Woodville to Cathedral Caverns for a 1 1/2 hour tour thru the cave, back to Fort Payne for dinner and back at the cabin by 7:30pm. I spoke to the owner by phone and she is a super nice, respectful lady whom answered any and all questions I had. I would definitely recommend Hawk's Nest Hideaway to anyone who needs a quiet getaway."
