"Every summer our children attend athletic camps at the university in Tuscaloosa. We have tried local hotels, hotels in Birmingham, and other VRBO properties over the years. No other stay can compare to this property...and words can't discribe how pleased we were! This spacious condo was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and conveniently located. Important to mention is how well stocked the condo was with basic necessities and so much more....down to the mints on the pillows and stocked bar! There are too many fantastic amenities to list but we highly recommend you look no further if you are looking to stay in Tuscaloosa. Thank you so much Connie and Jason for your hospitality, we will be back to stay next year."

"If you are looking for the best place to have a family vacation, do not look any farther than This condo. This is on the eighth floor, corner unit, with a great view. It has a large balcony with plenty of furniture for lounging or eating a sunset dinner. The owners have anticipated your every need whether cooking a meal in the well stocked kitchen or sleeping in the most comfortable beds . The condo is beautifully decorated, comfortable with nice linens and plenty of towels. We loved the covered parking with the grocery carts that make move in a breeze. We loved sitting on the balcony at night reading listening to the waves. The condo is centrally located close to shops, restaurants, and the night life! You are steps from the beach and can not go wrong staying at this condo!"

  • Cozy, Welcoming Home for a Perfect Getaway!

"My husband, myself, and our little pooch spent Thanksgiving week at Yellowfin. It is a beautiful home with plenty of room! The home has spacious and well decorated bedrooms, a cozy living room to relax in, and a kitchen with all the necessities. We were able to buy groceries and make dinner at the house each night. I brought things from home (pans, serving spoons, etc.) only to realize the house already had them! What a nice surprise! The beach is a super short drive away. It was our first time to Orange Beach and we can't wait to come back during the warmer months! The owner was extremely helpful and nice while planning our trip. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to come back to Yellowfin in the future!"

Weiss Lake Travel Tips

Why Vacationers Choose Weiss Lake Vacation Rentals

Weiss Lake is an exceptional area to visit on vacation. The lake itself covers 30,200 acres and has 447 miles of shoreline. It never feels busy or crowded, despite its popularity with fishing enthusiasts. The shallow flats and many coves make it perfect for swimming but the lake also has deep channels and underwater drop-offs.

The lake is best known for its exceptional fishing. Crappie, or croppie as they are also known, catfish and other species can be caught from docks, coves and boats. Weiss Lake is considered one of the best bass fisheries in Alabama, with large mouth bass, striped bass and other fish luring anglers to participate in fishing tournaments. During February, the “Crappie Rodeo” provides lots of outdoor fun.

The area around Lake Weiss is very quiet and unspoiled, making it ideal for hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding and touring. A vacation rental in this scenic area is the perfect vacation destination.

Renting a vacation home on Weiss Lake is a great way to enjoy the peace and quiet of the area. No rowdy neighbors in the next room and definitely no noisy all-night entertainment to disturb the peace! The scenery can be enjoyed from the porch of many lakeside houses which remain one of the state’s best kept secrets. For those who want to escape from the rat-race for a weekend break or longer, a vacation rental is the perfect accommodation. Stock up with supplies at the local Wal-Mart, just a mile from the lake, and enjoy your own company. Vacation homes are fully furnished and equipped with all you need. There is plenty of space for family and friends to spread out and games, books and even kayaks may be provided with the vacation rental.
