  • Terrapin Creek... AWESOME!!!!

"I am a youth minister, and we use Terrapin Creek Lodge for our High School retreat for our High School teens. First, the staff at Terrapin is incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and cooperative. Melissa, Mark, and Patsy are really nice and willing to help you with your event at the lodge. The facilities our incredibly nice. The cabins are nice with most having heat/air. The main lodge is beautiful. The scenery with the creek running along next to the facility makes a very tranquil and intimate setting. The fireplace area is super for hanging around a camp fire with friends. I would recommend Terrapin Creek for weddings, retreats, reunions, or a romantic getaway for your special someone!! This place is AWESOME!! Matt Wilber Smyrna, TN"

  • Close to Perfection!

"My family LOVED this house. It was very neat and organized. Convenient to several stores and food places. Although the kids loved the foosball/air hockey table, most of our time was spent at the dock chatting, swimming and enjoying the sun. We brought a boat and the ramp was very easy to find and close by. The back deck overlooked the lake and it was really nice but the bug situation made it hard to enjoy at night (not the owners fault). One reviewer commented on the stairs being steep and the a little difficult to navigate the grounds to the dock. Personally, I didn't find this a problem at all. We stayed at one lake house with over 100 steps to the dock, this was super easy to go back and forth to the house. Owners were WONDERFUL to deal with. We would love to return!"

  • Oldtimer now Wise to Weiss

"After going to lakes all my life, I discovered Weiss Lake this weekend. Wow! It's like stepping back in time, except with all the modern day amenities: children & adults playing games on the lawns & beach, swimming in the pool, fishing and paddle boating, walking up and down the sidewalks, or just hanging out to chat at the little country store on the property. From the two porches of this spacious Leesburg home, we could see for miles, watch the reflections on the water and mountain as the sun set, and smell the aromas as folks cooked outside. Of course, if we hadn't cooked out, we could have walked a few feet to Godfather's for a pizza, sandwich or salad. Inside, the house was immaculate and colorful with more than enough room for eight people, yet plenty of privacy for everyone and 4 extremely comfortable & roomy bedrooms. The inside ameneties gave it an at-home flavor - two-car garage, well-equipped kitchen, baths, laundry room, and bedrooms with TVs, etc. Of course, who needs any of that when you have the two screened porches? We had breakfast on the porch, watching the community to come to life and the sun give new colors to the mountain & lake. I want to go back in the fall. It has to be breathtaking in an area surrounded by water and mountains! If for some reason, anyone staying at the resort wants to leave, there's a short drive to Cave Spring, Georgia, where we had lunch one afternoon. It is a picturesque little town with lots of quaint restaurants & charming little shops wrapped around an old Time Square. There is also convient shopping just minutes away from the resort for those last-minute-have-to-have items. Bottom line: "The Leesburg Lake House Sits in a Fun-Filled Resort" and offers the best of everything in lake vacationing. *****"
