  • Perfect beach getaway with kids!

"What a fantastic updated, spacious, immaculate condo with a balcony overlooking the beach, it was everything it was advertised to be! We couldn't have been happier when we arrived at the Broadmoor and saw the location and the facility. Parking was simple, our condo was right across from the elevator which went directly down to the beach. The instructions on the vrc.mobi app were easy to follow, instructing us how to locate the key and all the unit cleaning instructions. We stayed for 3 nights and we found plenty to do with our 7 and 13 year old kids. Alligator Alley was down the street, The Wharf ferris wheel and shopping, dolphin cruises and lots of delicious seafood restaurants (we loved Fiddlefish and Gulf Shores Steamer) all within a couple of miles. The condo was well stocked with everything we needed in the kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms, also having a washer and dryer was so helpful! The rooms were so spacious, we loved we could have our own room and the kids were down a separate hallway with their own bathroom, they enjoyed the privacy. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony the most, drinking coffee, watching the sunrise and the clouds roll in in the morning. We will definitely try to come back to Orange Beach and hopefully rent this condo again, we were VERY happy with it!! I have already told my friend this is the condo she needs when she travels to Orange Beach next year!"

  • Fall Break

"Another wonderful stay at Emerald Skye. Our second vacation to Orange Beach was equally as wonderful as our first. Both trips were made more enjoyable by a wonderful owner who made sure we had everything we could possibly need. Already looking forward to our next stay at Emerald Skye."

  • Awesome view!

"This condo packs in a lot of great features for a one bedroom. The living room and bedroom have access to the balcony, where you will simply be mesmerized by the view. The master bath has a huge garden tub, and shower. Large walk-in closet with double vanity. There is also an additional full bathroom adjacent to the entrance. The decor is very tastefully done, giving this place the feeling of home. Falling to sleep, and staying asleep was easy, as there was very little noise to be heard from near by neighbors. The king size bed could stand to be updated, but was still comfortable. The location is great, convenient to popular attractions. I will definitely seek this one out again the next time I am beach bound!"

Alabama Travel Tips

Known as the "Heart of Dixie," Alabama borders Tennessee, Georgia, Mississippi and Florida. Though the capital of Alabama is Montgomery, the most populated city is Birmingham and the oldest city is Mobile, which was founded by French colonists.

For anyone looking to escape cold, wet winters, the climate in Alabama ranges from mild to hot with summer temperatures climbing to 100 degrees - perfect for a warm getaway. Winters are less harsh here, with temperatures ranging from 30 to 60 degrees.

History buffs will enjoy exploring any of the state’s 36 national historic landmarks and more than 1,200 locations that are part of the National Register of Historic Places. All of Alabama is steeped in rich and interesting facts from its beginning up until the present time.

Things to Do in Alabama

U.S. Space & Rocket Center: When visiting Huntsville, be sure to stop by the U.S. Space & Rocket Center, a museum showcasing achievements, rockets and artifacts from the United States’ space program. The museum is home to more than 1,500 permanent pieces relating to space exploration. The U.S. Space & Rocket Center also offers two camp programs where people can stay on-site and learn more about space with the U.S. Space Camp or aviation with the Aviation Challenge. Along with displays, you can also check out the Spacedome Theater, Rocket Park and Education Training Center that houses NASA’s Educator Resource Center.

Birmingham Zoo and Montgomery Zoo: Animal lovers are sure to enjoy a trip to either zoo in Birmingham or Montgomery, or maybe even both! The Birmingham Zoo is home to about 800 different animals of more than 200 species. It’s also a force in elephant conservation, featuring a Trails of Africa exhibit. Along with the elephants, you can visit with rhinos, giraffes, birds and other creatures. The Montgomery Zoo allows visitors to take a trip to South America, Asia and other countries without ever leaving Alabama. With more than 500 animals, there’s plenty to see here, including elephants, penguins, zebras and more.

USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park: One of the country’s most unique military attractions, The USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park provides an exciting experience for the whole family. Bryant-Denny Stadium: In Tuscaloosa, you’ll find the home of the University of Alabama and Bryant-Denny Stadium. Originally the football shrine was built to honor the university’s first president, it was amended later to also honor the famous Alabama football coach Paul “Bear” Bryant. If you visit during football season, taking in a game between the Crimson Tide and the Tigers is sure to be entertaining both on and off the field.
