"I poured over all the VRBO's available in Alaska, hoping for one that was within view of a "shallow rapids creek", yet wasn't exorbitant, plus I didn't want one with cabins right next door. God directed my path to the Willow Creek Inn and we couldn't have been happier!! I booked our cabin 8+ months in advance and the Pierce's couldn't have been more helpful, answering ALL of my many emails promptly, courteously and with lots of information about their cabin, town, and major tourist places within drivable distance. They went "above and beyond" what other VRBO owners have done for us in the past, but I don't want to say how. This cabin might be 6 years old but everything inside (materials used to build the interior, furniture, bathroom fixtures, etc.) all looked like we were the first people to ever stay there! The owners live a few miles up the same road, were in Anchorage the day we arrived but came the next day to meet us and ensure we had everything we needed. You couldn't meet a nicer, friendlier and more-helpful couple!! They own 2 cabins on those 27 acres and will be moving in to the one we stayed at in Oct 2015, so if you want to stay in an ABSOLUTE WONDERFUL place, you need to book any remaining dates that are available NOW! The only downside to the cabin we stayed at was it sits on a hill overlooking the creek, but the hill has lots of tiny streams of water streaming down it everywhere so to get down to the creek you need to take the forest path to their other cabin and then the trail down to the creek from there, maybe a 10-minute max walk to get from our cabin's porch down to Creekside, but it was worth it! I spent HOURS sitting on our covered porch during the first few days due to light mist/sprinkle weather, and not wanting to get down to the creek and have heavier rains start. During our 5-day stay there, we saw a moose (as we drove the gravel drive through forest back late one night) and I saw an otter down at the creek from my view off the porch. The sounds of the creek rapids were so therapeutic! My biggest suggestion to them after seeing it was they definitely aren't asking enough in price for what you get -- I feel they should charge a LOT more! They showed us the interior of the second cabin - a 2bd/1ba and it was just as nicely built/decorated as ours. We plan on returning for a longer stay in the future, guaranteed! Don't miss out on staying at this WONDERFUL slice of Heaven!"

"This is truly a wonderful place to stay - the photos don't do the place justice. The apartment is well laid out and spacious, the bed is very good, there's lots of storage in the bedroom and there's a good bathroom, a large lounge and a very good kitchen with everything you could possibly want including a dishwasher. The apartment also has a washer and dryer which is very useful when you are travelling. There's also wifi which is also much needed when you are travelling so far from home. The decks are a delight and there are lovely chairs to rest on - although the view does get a bit distracting. But the best part of staying here are the owners Sherry and Bob. Sherry leaves the fridge well stocked with breakfast things but bakes delicious breads, breadrolls and loaves for you each day - she is an excellent cook and it makes my mouth water just to think about all the delicious treats she baked for us. She and Bob are also a great source of travel information on Alaska and there are lots of books, brochures and DVDs in the apartment to guide you as well as the best compendium I have ever seen, with lots of helpful hints for local things to do. Sherry was also kind enough to book our glacier cruise in Whittier for us so that we got a discount for staying locally - which was very kind. Bob also recommended a walk to a nearby waterfalls which was just beautiful, very close by and well worth doing. This was a very good place to base ourselves for a few days, and I would highly recommend this apartment as an excellent place to stay."
