  • Bear Paw Lodge - "Let's Play It Again, Sam!"

"This was a GREAT place to stay. Clean, spacious, well appointed kitchen. It met our every expectation in addition to being a beautiful log structure. I will stay here again and again when back in Seward. Can't say enough about Dave and Wendy (owners). They were great hosts. My only regret is we did not have time to do a kayak tour with them."

  • WHAT A STUNNING CLEAN, BEAUTIFUL + COZY HOME!!! Really Perfect!!!

"My wife + I had a wonderful time @ Girdwood, staying at Gails beautiful home. Gail's home was very well kept, extremely clean + felt like we were at our own home. More than enough towels + very well thought out home. My wife + I also took a beautiful boat ride with Gail to the Glaciers with a total of 8 people + WOW, what a fine day!! We will never - ever forget this day. Gail is an excellent host + does everything possible, to make you feel @ home. I recommond her house to everyone, who wants a clean stay in a beautiful home."

  • Great place to relax after a day of hiking/biking/exploring

"We had a great stay in this apartment, I went with my family and we had everything we needed. The apartment is in between the Valley and Downtown so a good base to get wherever you're going, plus from this place you can walk to the Salmon Creek trail. It rained most of our stay so it was nice to have somewhere to come back to with a living room to relax (and a dryer!). We didn't have much interaction with the owners but they were helpful with any questions we had. Kitchen was fully stocked and served our needs, the place was clean and lived up to it's description. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a place to escape after a day of hiking/biking/exploring Juneau!"

  • Nice Place !

"Great place to get away and see the entire Kenai Peninsula. We were able to fish and sight see from Homer to Seward without having to change property or have an unreasonable drive. The metal walkway to the river was very nice as was the fishing motif for the house decorations. The house was very clean and the owners stocked the refrigerator with all the little things that we usually forget. They also had some things like frozen Pizza and Bacon & Eggs available so we didn't have to eat out when we first got in (which was late of course), nice touch! There had been some large fires earlier in the year which had thrown the area into some confusion. Apparently this had effected some of the upgrades that had been planned and the owner had had to do some maintenance while we were there. They were very considerate and worked around our schedule. Aside from seeing some building materials in the driveway it really didn't affect us at all. One thing we did notice was that the area water is from wells and the forest in which the house is located seems to have a lot of tannins, this gives the water a slight taste, the owned showed us the filtered drinking water system which we used for all drinking water after that."
