  • Exciting Adventure

"What a wonderful location for our Fairbanks Adventure. The property is nestled in a wonderful wooded setting. The listing is totally accurate and the pictures truly represent the property. We were comfortable right from the start. It was great to have a washer and dryer included at this location. The owner was available and provided information on sites to visit and places to eat too. We would certainly return to this property if we visit Fairbanks, AK again."

  • Thank you. 5 STARS!!

"Dale and Jo's is truly a 5 star stay. The house looks like a mini Mansion and the apartment we stayed at was warm and cozy. The bed is very big and simply luxurious. The place is sparkling clean with all amenities you need and even more! There's touch lighting makeup mirrors, bed firmness adjusters, massagers, washing machines.. Where do you get that seriously! We even saw the AURORA which was our main aim. The place is a dream and thanks Dale and Jo for this wonderful experience. The hosts were great and took the extra effort to even wake us for the aurora!"

  • Great house, ideal location

"We were very fortunate to have found this perfect house in a wonderful spot for our five day trip to Fairbanks - we are a retired couple from Weybridge, Surrey UK. The house is beautifully appointed and in a delightful setting - the photographs barely do it justice. On arrival we were greeted by Kathleen who made our stay really special with her introduction to Alaskan culture - she is a renowned artist - and her generous hospitality. We were interested to learn of the Carlo family's heritage - it is a remarkable story. We visited the Morris Thompson centre and the Alaskan Museum at the university, both of which had examples of Kathleen's art on display. We had come to Fairbanks in the rather forlorn hope of seeing the northern lights, and were so lucky to see a wonderful display at our first attempt. On local advice, we watched from the Alaska pipeline viewing point on the road to Fox from about 11 pm to 3 am. It was magnificent, and very, very cold, but we returned to the warmth and comfort of the wood-burning stove to celebrate our good fortune. We ate well at the Pump House next door and sampled sourdough pancakes for breakfast at Sam's on University St. We left with great memories of a fabulous trip. Our thanks to Wally for the smooth and efficient rental process, and to Kathleen for sharing with us her family's heritage and making us feel so welcome. Jenny Simpkins"
