"I came to Homer with my brother in law and two nephews (16 & 18) to see the area and do some salmon fishing in the local streams and on the ocean. The property is absolutely beautiful and spacious. Very private and sits on the bluff over looking Kachemak Bay. It was wonderful to sit on the front deck with a cup of coffee or a beer and enjoy the stunning views.
Property is clean and spacious. Two very large bathrooms, a large kitchen and plenty of sleeping space.
You are only 10 minutes to the downtown Homer and the spit. It's about 15 minutes to the Anchor river if you are interested in trying your luck when the salmon are running. Our group did quite well fishing for silver salmon."

"Condo is just like described and spot on to the many great reviews. From the outside, the building is a bit rundown, to say the least, but this unit is very well put together, clean and comfortable. The parking lot also has many bumps in it, so be careful walking on it at night as I almost tripped over one of the mounds in the pavement. It was also very quiet, which was a necessity for us since we were constantly on the move all day, so sleep was very important. Queen bed was very comfortable. Shower very hot. TV and internet worked great.
Location is about a 5 minute drive to downtown Anchorage and the train station. We took the Alaska Railroad (which we HIGHLY recommend) to Seward our first morning and it took about 6 minutes to get there at 6:15AM. We had breakfast at Snow City (which we highly recommend as well). It was a long wait on a late Saturday morning, so next time we would definitely make reservations online the day before.
The owner, Sally, was very responsive and had zero issues accessing the building and then getting into the unit when we arrived very late at night. She's also priced her condo very reasonable compared to the Anchorage hotels that run $250 and up per night."

"We had a fabulous stay at Tide Watcher... the location is fabulous... watching the tide roll in and out, eagles and gulls fishing, salmon jumping......... the apartment was really comfortable for three adults, and everything we needed was there, including a very friendly host with loaner fishing poles and a fish filet knife ! We tried really hard to pack the puppy in our luggage, but alas she would not fit...what a sweetie she is !"
