  • Great location

"We stayed for 2 nights and found the property spacious, comfortable, clean and the kitchen well-equipped. Since it was the middle of summer and we had a small child with us, the large, darkened bedrooms were much appreciated. We hope to stay there again."

  • Great place to relax after a day of hiking/biking/exploring

"We had a great stay in this apartment, I went with my family and we had everything we needed. The apartment is in between the Valley and Downtown so a good base to get wherever you're going, plus from this place you can walk to the Salmon Creek trail. It rained most of our stay so it was nice to have somewhere to come back to with a living room to relax (and a dryer!). We didn't have much interaction with the owners but they were helpful with any questions we had. Kitchen was fully stocked and served our needs, the place was clean and lived up to it's description. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a place to escape after a day of hiking/biking/exploring Juneau!"

  • A Little Slice of Heaven

"From the moment we drove down into the driveway of this gorgeous place, we knew we were in for the time of lives. Nancy met us with a smile and an aura of positivity. She showed us around while the kid explored. The cabin is beautifully built. It is clean and well stocked. We had 7 members in our party (three kids 7, 5, 3) and PLENTY of room for activities inside and out. We brought cross country skis, snow shoes, sleds, and snow machines and used every bit of the property and surrounding lake area. We saw thousands of stars at night around the fire pit, Denali during the day, and miles of adventure. We certainly hope to make this a family tradition for many Spring Breaks to come. We would also LOVE to see it in the summer. Thank you so very much Tom, for having us at your little slice of Heaven."

  • No need to shop around - would easily go back again

"My wife and I visited Girdwood with my parents and had a fantastic stay here. The host was extremely accommodating to our late night arrival, and helped answer questions we had about Alaska before we arrived, and even further on our trip. They were a great resource, and it felt so good to be traveling a long ways, but have someone on the other end helping answer last minute questions and curiosities. They also made fantastic recommendations on great places to eat, shop, hike, etc. Inside we found probably the cleanest, most organized rental I've ever stayed in. The place was so quaint, with beautiful woodwork, books, games, DVDs, a compete kitchen, coffees and muffins for breakfast, and a gorgeous walk-out patio within an earshot of a small creek that runs only about 10 yards away. I could have sat there for days. My folks took the bedroom that was very spacious with two closets, and my wife and I took the pull-out sofa which worked just fine and was even already made up for our late night arrival (thank you again). We had plenty of room for bags and gear. There’s even a small coat-rack/shoe/boot area outside the apartment door in a foyer area to put clothes after a wet day of hiking. The property itself is on a small street, so there was very little traffic, very little noise, just pure quiet. The location is also walkable to a few restaurants and stores for food/drinks (about a half mile) and some great hiking trails with trailheads near the resort only being a little over a mile away. Easily walkable. It was a great way to start our trip, and we all agreed that we could have easily stayed longer to just sit and enjoy the apartment as much as we enjoyed hiking and touring throughout Girdwood and the surrounding area. We would gladly go back the next time we come to town."
