"This place exceeded our expectations! Pictures can't do the view justice. We were very happy."

  • Nice suite with good view

"This studio, built as a “bonus room” above a garage, had a nice view through the kitchen window and from the little balcony toward the bay and the mountains on the opposite side of the bay. We liked pretty much everything about this suite, including two racks for luggage, good bed, TV/DVD and a cozy couch. We even watched a movie one night – the owners seem particularly fond of Julia Roberts movies with quite a few selections (we like them too). It is a quiet neighborhood and we slept well. It may not be equipped for gourmet cooking, but we boiled pasta and veggies and heated some pasta sauce in the microwave – for us the kitchen was quite good and we found everything we needed. We parked our car in back (alley way between Ballantine and 6th) right next to the entrance door leading to a private staircase up to the studio. It was within a walking distance of everything (except perhaps the Safeway which is a little outside town as you drive in). I met Jodi briefly to pay for our stay and she was friendly and suggested some things for us to do on our drive along the Glenn Highway. My on-line contact with her before arrival was very good and she was very gracious when we cancelled one night out of our original 3-night stay. Considering the cost of hotel/motel rooms in Seward, “A Suite View” was a good value and we would be happy to stay there again another time. As far as activities go in a brief time, Exit Glacier was worth seeing and the Kenai Fjords 6 hour catamaran tour was fantastic. Walking the paved path along the shore of Resurrection Bay alongside Seward was also a lot of fun, watching all the campers, salmon fishers, etc."

"My husband and I chose Homer as our vacation spot to spend with our son who lives in Anchorage. We are glad we did, quirky little town with beautiful views. And this lovely home had the best views of all, quiet, clean, and had lots of space for the three of us. We are telling our friends about it and if we return to Homer we will for sure stay here again. The owners were gracious and kind and were prompt to respond with a couple of inquiries we had. Lots of good places to eat, and galleries to visit, trails. were close and views magnificent."

  • Paradise Indeed

"We stayed at Paradise Cove House for a week with another couple. The house was perfect for two couples with completely separate bedrooms and bathrooms. Besides the amazing view, the house had everything to offer: many, many books, many small appliances (slow cooker, mixer, etc.), plenty of dishes/glasses/utensils. Everything was spotless. There were plenty of towels and nice linens on the beds. But did I mention the view???? We loved Haines and the area and enjoyed getting to know Cecily and Mark. A five star trip in a five star location - perfect for our first trip to Alaska."
