  • Amazing hospitality

"This place is covered with loving hospitality. It was not just a place to stay but a place that welcomed us the minute we walked in & we were able to call it home during our stay. I loved the art pieces arranged throughout the place. It was like living in a "I Spy" book every time you thought you saw everything something else would show up. Susan has the gift of hospitality & it was demonstrated throughout the place & when speaking with her. I definitely recommend this place, in all my travels it is rare to find a gem like this."

  • Perfect cabin

"Had a lovely stay with my dog and a perfect escape for a few days. I enjoy cooking/baking and the kitchen was really well stocked - better than at most other vacation rentals. Cabin is really well furnished, clean, and there are lots of thoughtful, useful details throughout. It's a easy place to settle in and make yourself comfortable. Owner, Julie, answered emails quickly and was readily available by phone. As no one was checking out before/checking in after me, she had no problem with letting me get in early and then enjoy a lazy morning making breakfast on check out day. Thank you for a great stay! I will be back and definitely recommend to others."

  • A Heavenly Getaway at Heavenly Lodge!

"My fiance and son decided to stay at Heavenly Lodge while visiting Cooper Landing. Not only was the location ideal for accessing various recreational areas on the Kenai River and peninsula, but the cost was extremely reasonable considering the overwhelming hospitality and exceptional service we received from the proprietors of Heavenly Lodge, Katy and Brian Borchers. We have every intention of returning to the lodge this summer for another fun-filled adventure at this rustic, Alaskan getaway."

  • Beautiful house!

"My husband, sister and I stayed in the house for about a week while visiting Homer. The house was clean and the furniture was comfy...as well as the beds. Loved the big tile shower in the bathroom! There is a big beautiful kitchen that unfortunately it was not well equipped. We did notify the property management company that we had no large pots or large frying pan...and they responded quickly...sending someone out with a couple of items. Unfortunately, they brought a small saucepan and a 13 x 9 baking pan. He said it was all the local store had (which really was the case). Hopefully they will supply better inventory for future guests. We would have loved to do some cooking but were unable. The deck is great with a small table and two chairs...with another two Adirondak chairs. We also enjoyed the upstairs loft for board games and taking in more views. Laundry facilities were very useful and in good working order. The bedrooms do not have dressers...this wasn't a problem for the master bedroom as the closet has shelves. My sister had to put her clothes on the extra bed. There was a dresser up in the loft that would have been better if it were in the guest room. Plenty of closet space! We had a few really rainy days and would have loved to have a DVD player to watch a movie or two. Do not let the critiques scare you away! We would return to The Seaside Escape in a heartbeat! It is a beautiful house with awesome views....lots of brochures, Alaska magazines and books. Very convenient to the town."
