"The home is beautiful, meticulously clean and well kept. Lot of room. Living room is large and comfy. Bedroom is large. Wonderful plants make this a cozy home. The view of Katchemak bay is awesome. We took a water taxi across the bay and hiked to the glacier which I highly recommend. I would definitely stay here again. Loved it, loved Homer. Thank you, Ann and Ray"

"This is truly a wonderful place to stay - the photos don't do the place justice. The apartment is well laid out and spacious, the bed is very good, there's lots of storage in the bedroom and there's a good bathroom, a large lounge and a very good kitchen with everything you could possibly want including a dishwasher. The apartment also has a washer and dryer which is very useful when you are travelling. There's also wifi which is also much needed when you are travelling so far from home. The decks are a delight and there are lovely chairs to rest on - although the view does get a bit distracting. But the best part of staying here are the owners Sherry and Bob. Sherry leaves the fridge well stocked with breakfast things but bakes delicious breads, breadrolls and loaves for you each day - she is an excellent cook and it makes my mouth water just to think about all the delicious treats she baked for us. She and Bob are also a great source of travel information on Alaska and there are lots of books, brochures and DVDs in the apartment to guide you as well as the best compendium I have ever seen, with lots of helpful hints for local things to do. Sherry was also kind enough to book our glacier cruise in Whittier for us so that we got a discount for staying locally - which was very kind. Bob also recommended a walk to a nearby waterfalls which was just beautiful, very close by and well worth doing. This was a very good place to base ourselves for a few days, and I would highly recommend this apartment as an excellent place to stay."

"Just got back from our 10 day trip (8 day stay at the cabin) to Alaska. All of the reviews are right on and nothing could have been better. A few nights in the mid 40s was certainly a welcome change from the 90s we already have in Florida. I was able to meet John in person and besides being a Patriots fan (Go Dolphins) he was a pleasure to deal with. He contacted us that he would come by to collect the garbage and water the plants so you don't even have to deal with that. With my son and granddaughter living in Anchorage, this place will be our destination as long as it is offered. Thanks John and Ellen for making our much needed get-a-way a 10."

"My daughter and I enjoyed staying in this two bedroom, two bathroom apartment very much! It was comfortable, quiet, clean and really just wonderful. I would recommend it to others for a stay in Anchorage. We stayed four nights, great location and it was terrific! Thank you Gary and Treva we will see you again someday'"
