  • My 2nd Time Here

"As before, my stay was relaxing, comfortable and exciting! (the fishing was awesome) The hosts have thought of every detail and amenity. I really felt welcome and at home. True Alaska style hospitality and the beauty and grandeur to go with it. I'll be back! Mahalo. Richard R. Honolulu, HI"

  • Nice suite with good view

"This studio, built as a “bonus room” above a garage, had a nice view through the kitchen window and from the little balcony toward the bay and the mountains on the opposite side of the bay. We liked pretty much everything about this suite, including two racks for luggage, good bed, TV/DVD and a cozy couch. We even watched a movie one night – the owners seem particularly fond of Julia Roberts movies with quite a few selections (we like them too). It is a quiet neighborhood and we slept well. It may not be equipped for gourmet cooking, but we boiled pasta and veggies and heated some pasta sauce in the microwave – for us the kitchen was quite good and we found everything we needed. We parked our car in back (alley way between Ballantine and 6th) right next to the entrance door leading to a private staircase up to the studio. It was within a walking distance of everything (except perhaps the Safeway which is a little outside town as you drive in). I met Jodi briefly to pay for our stay and she was friendly and suggested some things for us to do on our drive along the Glenn Highway. My on-line contact with her before arrival was very good and she was very gracious when we cancelled one night out of our original 3-night stay. Considering the cost of hotel/motel rooms in Seward, “A Suite View” was a good value and we would be happy to stay there again another time. As far as activities go in a brief time, Exit Glacier was worth seeing and the Kenai Fjords 6 hour catamaran tour was fantastic. Walking the paved path along the shore of Resurrection Bay alongside Seward was also a lot of fun, watching all the campers, salmon fishers, etc."

  • Wonderful view, modern, comfortable place and nice hosts!

"We were impressed with how clean, comfortable and thought out the entire place was. The bedrooms were very relaxing. The kitchen was a joy to cook in. The view was amazing. There is something about crossing a river to get to your guest house that is very enduring. In the middle of Homer, somehow Brad and Melissa were able to find a secluded paradise with Eagles nesting and singing to one another, a babbling brook to listen to and lots of trees to make it feel like we were in the middle of nowhere. Truly a great value. Recommend it 100%."

  • Fish On Cabin was a perfect place for our stay on the Kenai Peninsula

"Fish On Cabin is located halfway between Homer and Seward, near Sterling. The cabin is so clean and homey. We loved all the Alaskan decorations and funny quotes. We did a fly in salmon trip that was suggested to us by the owner and it was awesome. We were able to clean our own salmon, vacuum pack it and freeze it, right at the cabin. We cooked some of the salmon we caught on the grill for supper! Took quite a few trips into Soldotna for groceries and fish freezer boxes. Did not take very long to get there at all. We went halibut fishing and vacuum packed and froze that also. We went to Seward and took a lunch cruise to an island with a lodge. They were all great things to do and it was a wonderful place to stay! We would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone who loves the outdoors, wildlife and especially fishing! Thanks, Again!"
