  • Excellent Seward Harbor Hideaway

"My dad and I came up from Seattle for a Seward Silver salmon fishing trip. The weather and the charter were a bust, but the saving grace was this awesome little hideaway in downtown Seward. This property is super-clean and totally updated with all of the amenities. 2 bedrooms, and a full bath with full kitchen, and living area. All were updated, with coastal interior colors and decor. Cable tv and wifi were nice little adds. There is a washer and dryer for your convenience as well. All in all a very clean and updated property, and am looking forward to staying here again in the future."

  • Perfect Alaskan home away from home

"This was an amazing place! Clean, spacious, relaxing, beautifully rugged atmosphere. The hot tub on the deck was incredibly relaxing after a long day of hiking. We watched bald eagles soar around us as we soaked. The kitchen was fully stocked with plates, glasses, silverware, pots pans and basic items like salt and pepper and a lovely herb rack. We only had to buy our food. Wonderful fluffy towels and the bathrooms. Comfortable beds. Close to Seward and hiking trails but far enough away from the hub-bub of the tourist areas. Just a perfect spot to gather and relax. Plenty of room for all the people in our group of 6 and we could have had more! Great people to rent from also. Kind, friendly and informative! We miss it already! Thanks for a great place to stay!"

  • Nice suite with good view

"This studio, built as a “bonus room” above a garage, had a nice view through the kitchen window and from the little balcony toward the bay and the mountains on the opposite side of the bay. We liked pretty much everything about this suite, including two racks for luggage, good bed, TV/DVD and a cozy couch. We even watched a movie one night – the owners seem particularly fond of Julia Roberts movies with quite a few selections (we like them too). It is a quiet neighborhood and we slept well. It may not be equipped for gourmet cooking, but we boiled pasta and veggies and heated some pasta sauce in the microwave – for us the kitchen was quite good and we found everything we needed. We parked our car in back (alley way between Ballantine and 6th) right next to the entrance door leading to a private staircase up to the studio. It was within a walking distance of everything (except perhaps the Safeway which is a little outside town as you drive in). I met Jodi briefly to pay for our stay and she was friendly and suggested some things for us to do on our drive along the Glenn Highway. My on-line contact with her before arrival was very good and she was very gracious when we cancelled one night out of our original 3-night stay. Considering the cost of hotel/motel rooms in Seward, “A Suite View” was a good value and we would be happy to stay there again another time. As far as activities go in a brief time, Exit Glacier was worth seeing and the Kenai Fjords 6 hour catamaran tour was fantastic. Walking the paved path along the shore of Resurrection Bay alongside Seward was also a lot of fun, watching all the campers, salmon fishers, etc."
