  • Superior and Fantastic

"10 of us stayed here for a week. It as an amazing experience fishing out the back door! We traveled into town for fishing trips and down to Homer 3 times (about 2hours each way) for some offshore Halibut. Each man bought back 70lbs of filets thats right 700lbs of fish!!!! The sad thing is we missed the Salmon run by a week.. but the accomodations more than made up for it. Great touches and details in the house this will be my only choice next time. My son said his favorite memories were laughing with the men on the river and catching his first Halibut. priceless Thanks Mark from SC"

  • Wonderful Escape to the Kenai Peninsula

"My wife and I spent four days on the ground floor of this beautiful house in August of 2014. It was a B & B arrangement as the owner, David, was living upstairs on the third floor. Plenty of comfort and privacy. Great to have David on site as he was helpful with advice about exploring the area and fishing. The large fishing platform below the house was fantastic. Make sure to bring a few days worth of groceries and other items unless you want to drive the 17 to 20 miles into Soldotna each day- although there is a small (limited) general store, just four miles down the road. Relax on the deck, catch the afternoon sun, and grill the catch of the day. Then sit around the fire pit at night and watch the stars while listening to the river roll on by. Paradise in Alaska!"

  • Family trip

"We had a fantastic stay at Bear Paw. When the kids walked through the door their faces just lit up. We were provided a coffee grinder by Deb, who manages the property, I believe it was her own personal grinder. The beds were comfy and the size was perfect for our party of 10."

  • Loved it & would definitely stay again

"We stayed for 4 nights & used this place for day trips to Homer & Coopers Landing. Great central location, very quiet & we fished off the riverbank below the unit & walked to the park down the street. Comfortable unit, great views, very friendly hosts & only a couple minutes from town & stores & restaurants. Laundry too which was helpful. We would highly recommend this homey place to others!!"
