"Owner Ryan and Manager Jessica very accommodating and easy to work with. Clean, comfortable and met our needs and expectations. The small downfall was the fact that the river was closed for fishing. The next time we will definitely plan it so we can fish right there. Ryan provided us with a new BBQ grill and we had a nice cookout on the deck. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again a day recommend this place to our friends who would want to stay in the area."

  • AMAZING FAMILY CELEBRATION - 60TH B-DAY ADVENTURE

"Our family traveled to Homer Alaska to celebrate our father's 60th birthday with a family adventure trip! It was important that we selected the perfect house as a home base for our family dinners and a great property to explore and build wonderful memories we can treasure forever! This property and Catkin (and her family) exceeded our expectations. Everyone of our family had a wonderful time on the property and appreciated the time spent with some of the Kilchner family and the property caretaker. The property has wonderful views as well as some wonderful family history to experience. Catkin has done a nice job of paying attention to all details that make the cabin so comfortable - comfortable beds, warm and comfortable extra comforters and blankets and pillows! The kitchen is fully stocked and it was nice to have some items provided in the kitchen as a good start to the visit! Our family would highly recommend this property to anyone who is seeking an amazing property in Homer Alaska! I hope you are lucky enough to meet Catkin and her wonderful family!"

  • California vacationers

"This is a beautiful property with lots of forested trees and plants. There is an awesome view of the Kenai river from the kitchen, living room and deck. It was beautiful walking on the easily accessible walkway from the house to the river. You walk through a beautiful forest of trees. The house inside is very sunny with nice vaulted ceilings. The kitchen is well equipped and pretty with a nice seating area by big windows to look out at the river. They put a lot of care and thought into decorating the home. It's very cozy. The washer and dryer were very useful to us. The drive to get to the home is adventuresome and fun as long as you have GPS. There's lots of homes around but don't see your neighbors. Just the right amount of privacy. There was some fishing rods for us to use on the river to catch the salmon. We caught zero fish because we did not know what we were doing. However we had fun trying. We did our major fishing on charters and did well with that. It's fun walking out to the river when ever you like to watch the fisherman go by and neighbors across the way fish. There's fish processing areas on property to prepare your catch. The owner came by to check on us a couple times. They were very nice and gave us lots good info on the area. They're friend comes by and uses the fish processing area and likes to talk. They were all fun to talk with and are very knowledgeable about the area and fishing. Didn't see any bears or moose on the property, but said bears do come by. Just wear bells to scare them away if you're out at night. A nice size town is about 7 to 10 mins away with good shopping, eating and fish processing company's. This was a very enjoyable vacation. We appreciate the owners allowing us to use they're home."

  • Perfect for our fishing weekend!

"We visited family in Eagle River and took 3 days to drive to Homer to do some fishing with them. We were able to get your beautiful home for the weekend. The pictures on your website don't do it justice! It was truly a home-away-from-home. And we enjoyed every minute there! And having the fenced in back yard for a canine family pet was wonderful! A moose greeted us on the main road you can see from the side of the house when we arrived. Got some super close-ups of her. I would highly recommend your home to anyone visiting the Homer area."
