  • Private and relaxing

"Four of us stayed at Laughing Raven in early August '14 for four nights. Nice, clean log home with lots of windows located on a large, private lot with no neighbors in sight. Large, functional kitchen, two large living areas, and a huge wrap-around deck with a hot tub. Outstanding view of Cook Inlet and K-bay from the bluff just uphill from the house. We brought our boat down and had plenty of room to turnaround and store the trailer in the driveway. The owner (Mo) is very professional and a pleasure to do business with. We will stay again in the future."

  • Perfect Place for a Writers Retreat!

"Four women, part of a Writers Group, traveled to Seward for a weekend Writers Retreat and we were quite pleased with the beautiful, comfortable, peaceful house we found - this is a great place, with plenty of space for sleeping, writing (the dining room table was busy!) and working both together and separately. We were able to really focus and get lots of work done on our writing projects. It is a very clean place, well lit, with excellent views, lots of room and plenty of windows, and the kitchen was quite easy for all 4 of us to cook meals in. The kitchen was fully stocked - very nice. We are planning to make this at least an annual event, and would come back to this house with no hesitation. We were able to walk around downtown, to the beautiful new library and museum, and we walked to the waterfront, which was lovely and quite close. We would recommend this home and Seward to anyone - we were very happy with our experience."

  • Five Stars!

"Perfect is the word that best describes our recent stay at Eagle Head Cabins! The owners Ron and Denise are consummate hosts and have considered every detail that will make your stay there perfect. We felt like family and consider ourselves fortunate to have been able to stay with them and get to know them. The grounds are beautiful and all of the cabins are immaculate, secure, decorated with local art, have WiFi, DVD and Direct TV. The kitchens have all of the essentials, along with a private BBQ to prepare real meals. Laundry facility is also provided. Fishing platforms are provided for guests to enjoy carefree fishing. Top quality, pre-rigged gear is also provided for those that don’t have equipment. Ron’s knowledge of the local conditions really helps anglers dial in where to fish. A fish cleaning station is provided, complete with a commercial vacuum packing machine and freezer space. Vacuum bags are provided without charge. This convenience really helped because we didn’t have to drive to Soldotna to have our fish processed each day. There was even a digital scale to weigh the boxes of fish we shipped back home. Almost forgot, unlimited ice is provided free of charge! While we concentrated our efforts on fishing, it wouldn’t matter what your vacation entailed… wildlife viewing, sight seeing, complete and total relaxation… Eagle Head Cabins fits the bill. So, here is the bottom line. Eagle Head Cabins may be a few dollars more than the competition. However, the dollars quickly add up when you consider the conveniences like laundry, free ice and fish processing. Finally, if you’re looking for a quality experience in serenely beautiful surroundings, look no further - Eagle Head Cabins are perfect! We plan to stay with Ron and Denise again. In fact, we will be back next year and hopefully for many years to come. Thanks Ron, Denise, Rocky and Max for making our visit to the Kenai the best ever! Eagle Head Cabins deserves a Five Star Rating. Mahalo and Aloha, Tom and Laura"

  • Nice Place !

"Great place to get away and see the entire Kenai Peninsula. We were able to fish and sight see from Homer to Seward without having to change property or have an unreasonable drive. The metal walkway to the river was very nice as was the fishing motif for the house decorations. The house was very clean and the owners stocked the refrigerator with all the little things that we usually forget. They also had some things like frozen Pizza and Bacon & Eggs available so we didn't have to eat out when we first got in (which was late of course), nice touch! There had been some large fires earlier in the year which had thrown the area into some confusion. Apparently this had effected some of the upgrades that had been planned and the owner had had to do some maintenance while we were there. They were very considerate and worked around our schedule. Aside from seeing some building materials in the driveway it really didn't affect us at all. One thing we did notice was that the area water is from wells and the forest in which the house is located seems to have a lot of tannins, this gives the water a slight taste, the owned showed us the filtered drinking water system which we used for all drinking water after that."
