  • Great stay at a great place

"My husband and I shared this apartment with my sister and her husband while we were in town for a wedding. We were thrilled to drive up and see this cute little apartment with a view! The apartment is clean with the perfect amount of space for two couples. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well-stocked. There was plenty of reading material on Alaska along with some personal recommendations of things to do and places to go written by the hosts. As first time visitors to the area, this was very helpful. There was even a take a book/leave a book thing - which, as a book lover, made my heart happy. I didn't see a moose on the property while there, but I did get to see the glacier every morning (and night because it NEVER gets dark in Alaska, ha!). Anyway, all in all, this was a great place to stay at a great value. Highly recommend. The only thing I would mention - the place has well water. Kinda stinky water which is weird to shower in and I wouldn't drink it. BUT, the owners leave you a 5 galloon bottle of water to use!!"

  • Great home base for exploring the area!

"Laura has done an amazing job with Girdwood Goodnight! No detail was overlooked in creating this cozy, comfortable, clean home away from home. It's located in a residential neighborhood which made a great home base to explore all the area has to offer. While this isn't a bed and breakfast, Laura left us enough goodies to make our own breakfast on our own schedule. We actually preferred that. The weather wasn't cooperative when we were in the area and several of our planned activities were canceled. We emailed Laura and she quickly replied with great rainy day suggestions."

  • My family had a great time at this property

"I visited Alaska in Dec/Jan to complete my final state in my goal to see all 50 states before my 50th birthday. We skied at Alyeska, took a great dogsled tour down in Seward, toured around Anchorage and went on a helicopter tour of nearby glaciers. This property was beautifully appointed, stocked, clean, modern and thoroughly enjoyable. Great hot tub in an enclosed, detached structure just outside the back door, a jacuzzi in the bathroom, heated floors, and a very good entertainment system. Sarah was easy to work with and she gave me good advice while I was there. Location is very good...40 minutes to Anchorage/airport, 90 minutes from Seward, about 3 minute drive to Alyeska. Perfect for small family or two couples."

"I spent 6 fantastic days in Alaska at Ron and Denise's cabins this summer with my family and friends. I've been to alot of places all over the world and this was my favorite vacation. I knew from the phone calls with Ron, this would be an awesome trip. The cabins are beautiful and even more than I expected. The pictures online are great - but just wait until you walk in the front door - WOW! We all grabbed a drink and went down to the fishing docks and were greeted by a show from the bald eagles. They were right by the cabins every day and a couple golden eagles came in as well. Ron set up a halibut fishing trip for us(we limited out) and a fly in silver salmon trip(2 shy of our limit). They were alot of fun. Because of weather, our halibut trip was going to be cancelled. Ron worked hard and got us out on another day - thank you very much. It was so nice to visit with Ron and Denise and get to know them and their life in Alaska. Whenever we came back from a hike or a fishing trip, Ron was around the property to say hi and make sure everything was going well. It's rare to find someone that cares so much about other people's happiness. I am so thankful that I found Ron and Denise. There is nothing that I would change about our vacation to Alaska - other than staying longer. This was a trip that I truely did not want to end. The beauty is unbelievable. There is so much to do - the hiking and fishing are fantastic. In just a short time, you feel like Ron and Denise are family. Thank you Ron and Denise for a very memorable trip. You took the work out of everything so I could just enjoy the experience with my family and friends. These memories are priceless as you both are. The cabins are beautiful and so is the view of the Kenai River. Ron and Denise make a fantastic salmon dip as well. Thanks for sharing it with us. I look at our pictures and can't wait to return. THANK YOU THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DID TO MAKE OUR VACATION SO WONDERFUL. I REALLY APPRECIATE IT."
