  • Fabulous place to stay

"We stayed here for 3 nights and just loved our stay. Very roomy and spotlessly clean. Enjoyed pool table and excellent all round facilities. Weather was very kind to us so loved sitting out on the deck. We saw 4 hump back whales in the bay and lots of humming birds and eagles. Hosts are very helpful. We would definitely recommend this rental as 5 star accomodation"

  • Initial Alaska Experience

"Great location; we chose this house because we wanted to explore the sites in Girdwood and on the Kenai peninsula. The appearance and the amenities were accurately described. The owner was very helpful in recommending companies to use for fishing & rafting. This house had more starter supplies then any house we've rented via VRBO which was a BIG plus. Small issue, their cleaning person needs to vacuum thoroughly. We had a great time."

  • Great cottage in the woods - convenient to fishing and sight-seeing

"This was the perfect place for us to stay in Alaska. The cottage is clean and perfect for a couple. It has everything you need to do some cooking. If you want to eat out, you really need to go to Wasilla. We recommend the local guide, Mike Coughlin. We caught so many rainbow trout in 2 days, we lost count. The cottage is right on Willow Creek and if you like solitude, this is the place for you. It is also convenient to lots of sightseeing: We rode to the Independence Gold Mine through Wasilla. We heard the Hatcher's Pass road through Willow is a little difficult to drive. Denali is about 2 1/2 hours away. We did not make the drive, but we had an amazing view from Willow on the Parks Highway. Some other drives we made were to Mr. Alyeska and the Turnaround Arm - also amazing and then to the Matunuska Glacier. The only thing I missed at the cottage was no Wi-Fi, but the Willow library is convenient."

  • Sister's Reunion June 2014

"This was the perfect place for our sister's vacation reunion. The house was spotless and very well stocked with everything we needed. It was so fun to sit outside by the firepit (even when it was raining and misty). Carson was an excellent host and we hope to see him again when we have another reunion in Anchorage."
