  • Our Rockin' Alaskan Adventure!

"We had the BEST time at Canoe Lake Chalet! With this being my first time using VRBO I was really hesitant with any property. Geri quickly broke me of my hesitation! The next morning after I requested more info she called me and we talked about every single detail of how the process would work. We had a group of 10 adults that need our space and we found it in this awesome chalet. The back porch faces north directly towards Hatcher Pass right over a beautiful lake. It truly feels like you have your own little piece of heaven. When we were there pretty much everything was frozen but we could tell Geri and her husband have everything you need to have fun on the lake including paddle boats! Lots of bicycles are there too! We stayed in the cabin for a week and a couple of the days we just took off on foot from the cabin and found miles upon miles of hiking trails practically at your front door. Perhaps our greatest adventure was when Geri set us up with the good people at Talkeetna Air Taxi and Denali Zip Lining for a group scenic flight where we landed on a glacier and took a snowmobile to a zip lining course that really was an experience! It's hard to say what our favorite part of the chalet was but since all 10 of us are on a national tour of a musical, Million Dollar Quartet (look us up), we go months without a kitchen. Let me tell you, this place has EVERYTHING you need!! Cooking for 2 is hard enough...10 is even more of a challenge, as you can expect! You'll be located soooooo close to Palmer and Wasilla you will not have to go far to get any food. We ate ALL of our meals but one at the property :) I recommend this property for anybody and am already ready to plan my next trip!"

  • Beautiful mountain home with epic views!

"This home was perfect for our girls retreat, we absolutely loved it! The home had huge windows with a gorgeous unimpeded view of the mountains from the great room that included both the kitchen/dining areas and living room. I loved that there was a large area for people to gather and also a lot of bedrooms. Beautiful home and the owner was a joy to work with and extremely easy to contact. Seamless check-in and check out. I would definitely recommend this home for small parties and family getaways. Close to downtown Palmer, the Butte hiking area (wonderful and beautiful hike if you've never done it) and the Reindeer Farm. We had a wonderful stay there and would love to go again."

  • Home Away From Home

"My brother, sister and I spent a week in the Pioneer Cabin in late August and loved it. Loved the layout, there was ample room for the three of us to have our "space" and the entire cabin was quite cozy. A gas fireplace and a rocking chair made the perfect spot for morning coffee. Downstairs bath was divided into two compartments with the dressing area separate from the shower. Linens were fresh and easily replaced by our host - just leave them on the porch when you leave and bingo, they have been laundered on you return. Lonnie was amazing and took care of any needs by a simple phone call or text. Wish we had had a month or so to stay - too much to enjoy and so little time. Thanks, Lonnie, for our little home while we where in Palmer. Note: we are all over 55 and did just fine on the ladder to the loft but someone less fit might have a little problem getting up to second bedroom/bath."
