"#7 - Location was absolutely perfect! Condo was clean and owners most congenial.
Three floors was manageable and harbor activity so interesting. Loved watching cruise ships come and go. However, condo is definitely showing its' age with warped interior doors, tattered bed linens, and poor security measures. I would definitely return, but I would bring along some door locks to feel really safe. (The freezer in the garage was a big benefit for the fish boxes, but it needed cleaning). So, yes, we would definitely return, just with lower expectations. We had great weather and great fishing!"

"This was our second time staying at Eagle's rest. The view does not get better than this! My family and I love our walks to the beach! Catkin gave a great tour of her parents homestead cabin. The history of the Kilcher family is very interesting. We also ran into some of the cast from the show Alaska The Last Frontier on discovery channel. Everyone is always welcoming and nice while here. The cabin was beautifully built."

"The Douglas Guest House was comfortable and well-appointed for our family of three on our week-long stay in Juneau. I agree with the other reviewers about the quality of this studio apartment. The beds are comfortable, and the kitchen is well-stocked enough to cook in. I would definitely advise those renting this property to rent a car as well, since one can get a bit wet waiting in the Juneau rain for the city bus--though busing is doable, with a stop a couple of blocks down the hill. The brief ride into Juneau to tourist attractions, etc, is pleasant. (We recommend the tram ride up Mt. Roberts and the restaurant at the top!) Within walking distance of the Douglas Guest House, there is Sandy Beach and the Treadwell walking trail, near the site of the old Treadwell Mine, for hikes or strolls. Really the only difficulty for our family was that we have old cell phones from the pre-smartphone age, so we were unable to download the owners' app and thus not able to get information or to communicate as easily as would have been ideal."

"A group of 5 of us stayed here for 5 nights. We had plenty of room with 3 bedrooms and 2 bath, in addition to the living room and dining room. This helped us save a lot of money and was much more comfortable than a hotel, in my opinion. I will definitely stay here again whenever we are lucky enough to make it back up to Anchorage. Great unit, and Carson is very nice and accommodating. Couldn't be happier."
