"A hidden gem on the west side of town that offers full kitchen and fully stocked one bedroom . Lovely property with a welcoming hostess Liz. It is about a five minute drive into the city where one will find all types of attractions and restaurants. Our daughter Annie ( who lives in Homer during the Summer) was our local guide to the area... and Liz supplemented by having a plethora of guides and books at our disposal. Great civilized way to see Homer... (have WIFI and indoor plumbing ..unlike our daughter's "dry cabin" UGH! Will stay at the R & R again!"

"We recently spent 7 nights here and it could not have been a more comfortable stay. We wanted someplace private and clean but not too far to drive to Soldotna and Kenai- this was it. We had my two parents with my husband and I, along with our two kids ages 4 and 7 months and there was plenty of room for us all. The kitchen is wonderfully stocked, we would have had everything we needed for breakfast the next day had we not stopped at the store already. The beds were all very comfortable, which is a great surprise when you're on vacation:) The canoe was also fun for us- we paddled down to the sterling highway bridge and stopped short where the Moose River meets the Kenai. We even ran into a couple of the Kilchers while at lunch in town! We made day trips to Homer, Seward, and Kenai- a little bit of a drive but not bad. My 4 year old loved the bunk beds and the highchair was awesome for my baby. Our last night there a couple of moose were on the road in to the cabin, awesome! We saw so much wildlife everywhere we went! Again, a wonderfully Clean! and private place to stay!!!"

"This was my second time to stay at the Lucky Loon and it was just an fabulous as the first time. This property has EVERYTHING anyone could desire. The views from the wrap-around porch are amazing. Louise and Petr are fantastic hosts. They will do almost anything to make a person's stay spectacular. Be prepared to see whales, seals, deer, porcupine, eagles, sea lions, and all kinds of birds right at the cabin. If you time it right, you can even pick fresh berries for your breakfast. YUM! The town of Petersburg is not a tourist town. It is wonderful retreat from the hustle and bustle of life. You get a feel for what living in a fishing community is all about. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this property and about Petersburg. No one will be disappointed."
