"Our family of 10 stayed at the Bear Paw Lodge during our visit to Seward for 8 nights this July and we absolutely loved it. You can't ask for two better hosts than Wendy and Dave (and their two adorable pups, Jax and Logan). From the time we sent the initial inquiry, to asking questions about Seward and getting back to us very quickly, they made the entire process incredibly easy. The lodge is the perfect size and has wonderful amenities. They even thought of the small things that really make u feel like you are home, like a welcoming plate of delicious chocolate chip cookies, q-tips, scissors, hair dryers, etc. Those small essentials were icing on the cake. Bear Paw was our "home" during our wonderful stay on the Kenai Peninsula and if we ever go back we would definitely stay there again. I would recommend Bear Paw to anyone looking good for a beautiful, charming, "home away from home" in Seward."

"We just returned from a month traveling in Alaska. A highlight of our trip was the week we spent at the Luck Loon. The views out onto the water from the cabin were spectacular. We enjoyed staying in Petersburg since we did not have to share it with giant cruise line ships."

"My brother, sister and I spent a week in the Pioneer Cabin in late August and loved it. Loved the layout, there was ample room for the three of us to have our "space" and the entire cabin was quite cozy. A gas fireplace and a rocking chair made the perfect spot for morning coffee. Downstairs bath was divided into two compartments with the dressing area separate from the shower. Linens were fresh and easily replaced by our host - just leave them on the porch when you leave and bingo, they have been laundered on you return.
Lonnie was amazing and took care of any needs by a simple phone call or text. Wish we had had a month or so to stay - too much to enjoy and so little time.
Thanks, Lonnie, for our little home while we where in Palmer.
Note: we are all over 55 and did just fine on the ladder to the loft but someone less fit might have a little problem getting up to second bedroom/bath."

Excellent private space, very clean, perfect for us
"This property is above a separated garage area, which actually works out great. No worrying about bothering the neighbors. The space was immaculately clean and very nice.
We went as a family of 4 (2 pre-teen kids), and everything was perfect for us. The king bedroom was great and the kids didn't have any trouble with sleeping on a futon and blow up mattress.
The kitchen was excellent and we were able to eat a meal with vegetables (gasp!). The bathroom spa / shower / disco (our daughter loved the colored lighting in the shower) was very cool. One night a Bald Eagle was perched 30 feet outside one of our windows.
The place is very near the Alaska Marine Highway Ferry dock, which is 20 minutes from downtown Juneau. You will need a car. The nearby food places were surprisingly very good.
The best feature for us was the use of the excellent laundry facilities in the garage space under the rental. After a number of days living out of suitcases, easy nice laundry access was worth a great deal."
