"It was the perfect place for our group. Great views, very clean, very well furnished in every aspect, easy access and quiet. Would go back again in a heartbeat!! Good value!! As a side note the raspberry jam is to die for. Wish you had it for sale......I would be your 1st customer !!!!!!!"

"My husband and I had a peaceful and relaxing week at the cabin. We didn't even notice we were off the grid because we had all the modern conveniences but we were able to shut off the world and just be. One day we had fresh pike from the lake for lunch and the next day we had fresh salmon for dinner from a fishing trip we took in Talkeetna. The only wildlife I saw at the cabin was a family of ducks at the dock but it was a joy to watch them every day. We were there during Moose hunting season so there was a bit of traffic on the road. The cabin was a convenient mid-point for us between Anchorage, Talkeetna and Denali. Tom, the owner, communicated with me through out the process very professionally; answered all of my questions immediately, no matter how trivial they were."

"The owner- Laura is very nice and helpful. She gave us some ideas on some trails to hike and helped turn our disaster of a trip into a good one.
The rooms were nice and clean. The back yard makes you feel like your alone in the mountains. The Chalet was very easy to find- just type in the address into your phone or Mapquest it before you go. You have the option to use the main foyer or go around back. I liked walking around and hearing the creek. There is a door that locks after you enter through the foyer. We would love to stay at this place again if we ever go back to Alaska.
My only regret (other than we did not stay there longer) is that i did not ask for the muffin recipe. I'm not a huge muffin fan but these were incredible.
Girdwood was centrally located for all of the activities that we wanted to do and is a neat town."
