"This property's location is convenient to all points of interest in the city and outlying areas as well. It definitely has all the conveniences of home. Our group of three adults found everything we needed to make our Juneau stay enjoyable."

"The Douglas Guest House was comfortable and well-appointed for our family of three on our week-long stay in Juneau. I agree with the other reviewers about the quality of this studio apartment. The beds are comfortable, and the kitchen is well-stocked enough to cook in. I would definitely advise those renting this property to rent a car as well, since one can get a bit wet waiting in the Juneau rain for the city bus--though busing is doable, with a stop a couple of blocks down the hill. The brief ride into Juneau to tourist attractions, etc, is pleasant. (We recommend the tram ride up Mt. Roberts and the restaurant at the top!) Within walking distance of the Douglas Guest House, there is Sandy Beach and the Treadwell walking trail, near the site of the old Treadwell Mine, for hikes or strolls. Really the only difficulty for our family was that we have old cell phones from the pre-smartphone age, so we were unable to download the owners' app and thus not able to get information or to communicate as easily as would have been ideal."

"Our group had a wonderful memory making vacation. The treehouse is a very beautiful cabin with lots of extras. This was two of the couples second trip to Girdwood and it was just as great as the first. The only drawback to it being the perfect week was the steps. One of our party has difficulty walking. We knew by the pictures that there were steps to get up to main cabin but thought the living, kitchen and master was on the second landing not the third. She managed the steps bit it was very difficult. I think we would have re thought this cabin if we would have paid more attention to the setup. All that being said the owners were great and no complaints from us. I would not recommend this cabin for anyone that has back issues or has walking difficulties. I would recommend this cabin for anyone who wants to enjoy the peace and beauty of Alaska at its finest!!!!"

"We rented Robb Bear's cabin for two nights. It was fun reading about his dog sled exploits. We met his darling little son. The cabin was very roomy and quiet. Great mountain views. I plan to stay here again soon to enjoy the fishing and hiking. This cabin would be great for a small family, as there was a loft with two extra beds."
