"This is our second time at Red Dawg and as hard as it is to believe they only continue to improve the experience from our already amazing stay a few years ago. The package with the house and vehicle and now a skiff rental made sure our group of 6 had very little down time - freshwater and saltwater fishing, sightseeing, exlporing etc. ...as usual our week went by way too quickly. The house was in impeccable shape, had all the amenities to make life comfortable (boot dryers, big coolers, rod holders, chest freezer...the list goes on) and on top of that the owners made sure to answer all our questions and checked in to make sure everything was good while we were at the house. I can't imagine staying anywhere else and have no reservations about recommending this house for anyone visiting SE Alaska."

"Great cabin in sterling. Large sleeping areas and kitchen. Sitting area was quite small with just one couch and a rocker, but otherwise a great cabin for our group of seven. Only stayed one night as we were just passing through on our way to Homer.
There was quite a bit of confusion with hidden fees at the beginning of our booking, but I believe the owner has adjusted the site now to make them more visible and forthcoming. Also, one of the queen beds was broken, but considering how well everything else was taken care, I would assume the owner is taking care of this too as I don't think he was aware of it."

"My husband and I went here for our honeymoon after our wedding. What a wonderful place to unwind and get away from it all (barely have Verizon service)! The view and atmosphere took our breaths away. The cabin is in tip-top condition and possesses all the necessary cooking supplies. We stopped at Safeway in Homer before we caught the Bay Roamers water taxi over to the cove. We ate dinner each night at The Saltry. The food was superb, a little repetitive after 4 nights, would have brought food to grill one night if I knew the grill was so nice. Tracey was very helpful coordinating our taxi rides and kayak rental. It's like a mini travel agency since everyone in cove knows everyone else and works together. It's a good 20+ minute walk from the Saltry to the cabin with a steep incline, fine for us but would definitely not work for some. But luckily there is only 1 road and it was light until 11pm! Making walks back after dinner easy. Highly recommended."

"We feel lucky to find Eagle Head. Our family spent a wonderful time there. The log cabin is very well maintained and decorated nicely. Our hosts, Ron and Denise are so nice and helpful. They made us feel like visiting friends instead of just renting the place. Ron showed my husband and son how to clean the fishes. And I enjoyed talking to Denise every day after our outings. I will definitely recommend to friends."
