"We had a long night and day of traveling to Alaska and were very pleased to reach the Nancy Lake Villa for some serious relaxation. Unfortunately, the Sockeye wildfire approached our area and we had to evacuate at 2AM. This was understandable and totally out of anyone's control. We at least enjoyed a fresh halibut dinner on the deck overlooking the lake and actually watched helicopters and a plane load up with lake water right in front of us. The neighboring caretakers and the owners kept us constantly appraised of the fire and did warn us that we may have to evacuate later. We managed to sleep a bit before having to leave. The Villa is beautiful, well maintained, and everything we would need was there. Subsequently, we agreed with the owners, who refunded most of our rental fee. We would gladly stay here again and recommend it to anyone else. The villa is spacious, and next time, we will get out on the lake!"

"From the beginning the Pierce"s replied to my emails very quickly and when we arrived at the Anchorage I had a text from them with driving directions and how to get into the cabin since we were arriving late at night. They had the heat turned on for us, the porch light on, and music playing inside. These may seem small, but they were very nice, thoughtful actions on their part. When we entered the cabin we found a beautiful, clean, well stocked place to spend our vacation. Their were condiments in the refrigerator, spices in the cabinets, and items such as tea, coffee, creamer, sugar, as well as snacks such as popcorn, hot chocolate mix and chips in the drawers. Every dish, utensil, and pot or pan you could ever need was there and everything was clean and ready to use. Additional items such as bear spray was also there. The view of Willow Creek from the porch was very nice, relaxing, and quiet since the cabin is far enough off the lightly traveled road and far enough into the woods to create a real feeling of solitude. The neighboring cabin is far enough away and separated by woods that you can barely notice it is even there. If you plan to explore off the property Paul and Ginny had the Milepost book as well as many other maps for fishing and travel not to mention a book shelf that was stocked with many interesting and useful books on Alaska. The furniture was very nice, comfortable, and clean as was the bed. The entire experience met and exceeded any and all expectations and the Pierce's checked in with us to make sure we were satisfied or needed anything."
