  • Beautiful....

"After spending several days in a B&B, it was a great pleasure to walk into this beautiful home. The pictures do not it justice, it is far more beautiful than the pictures. The bed was fantastic, and the views were even better. The first day we were there we saw a beautiful bald eagle fly by. We also saw sand hill cranes, we only hear them in TN. I can't say anything bad about this place and will stay there again on our next visit. Happy couple from Tennessee."

  • Great Alaskan home

"We enjoyed our stay in this home. The setting makes you feel like you are in the wild but it has all the amenities you could ask for. The location is great for exploring the Chugach area and the Kenai peninsula. Then at night, we would come back and relax by the fire or play a game of pool. The kitchen was very well stocked. Bedrooms and bathroom are simple but clean and comfortable. The owners were very pleasant to work with. I would highly recommend this home"

  • Absolutely fabulous Alaska vacation!!

"We have been doing VRBO for 15 yrs. We own/manage and DO VRBO as our primary income. This trip could not have been any better! The cabin is great! The cabin is beautifully done, has everything you need, and it is clean (and, yes, I am a critic!). The views are spectacular and the local wildlife is an absolute bonus! We saw caribou on numerous occasions, moose, loons, eagles - we loved it! The views to the lake and the mountains (if it's clear) are amazing! We were here for 3 weeks. The first week of our trip, our son was with us. After he returned to college, it was just the 2 of us. The cabin was perfect for us. The extra special bonus is Ted and Elaina. We have rented from a lot of folks over the years and have never met more wonderful hosts! They are an absolute wealth of information! Anything you want or need - they can definitely help you out! This was a long trip and we felt like we really got to know these guys. You will not find more genuine, generous hosts. They love where they live and they are happy to share it with you. They make you feel like family. Want to show up and be left alone - they will not invade your space. However, we enjoyed the interaction and loved visiting with them. We have never had a more wonderful experience! We WILL be back next fall and cannot wait to stay with Ted and Elaina again! Thank you both for making this such a wonderful trip for our family!"

  • Great cottage in the woods - convenient to fishing and sight-seeing

"This was the perfect place for us to stay in Alaska. The cottage is clean and perfect for a couple. It has everything you need to do some cooking. If you want to eat out, you really need to go to Wasilla. We recommend the local guide, Mike Coughlin. We caught so many rainbow trout in 2 days, we lost count. The cottage is right on Willow Creek and if you like solitude, this is the place for you. It is also convenient to lots of sightseeing: We rode to the Independence Gold Mine through Wasilla. We heard the Hatcher's Pass road through Willow is a little difficult to drive. Denali is about 2 1/2 hours away. We did not make the drive, but we had an amazing view from Willow on the Parks Highway. Some other drives we made were to Mr. Alyeska and the Turnaround Arm - also amazing and then to the Matunuska Glacier. The only thing I missed at the cottage was no Wi-Fi, but the Willow library is convenient."
