  • Perfect for our 10 person Family Vacation

"My mom had been talking about going to the Grand Canyon since we were in high school and for her 60th birthday we were finally able to make her dream come true. Tumbling Rock Ranch made her birthday vacation PERFECT! There were ten of us that stayed in the house - all over 26 years old. There are three main bedrooms and one office with a futon, two full bathrooms, and one bathroom with a sink/toilet/washer/dryer. Four couples had rooms and the other had to stay in the main living room on the pull out couch. There were plenty of blankets/pillows/sheets to accommodate everyone. The house is beautiful and provides everything you could need - a huge kitchen, huge living room, huge bar area with legit bar and a pool table. There is a grill/fire place outside that we used a lot, then a fire pit a short walk away from the house. Having a washer/dryer on site was also great. The house is also one floor so any kind of mobility issues are not a problem here. Any time we needed anything, Don and Carolyn responded to our emails or texts within an hour, they were super attentive to our needs. We also did the petroglyph tour with Don which we would all HIGHLY recommend. The drive to the south rim of the Grand Canyon is about an hour and forty five minutes (we thought it'd seem far but it really didn't because it's such a beautiful drive) - we did this three times, went to Sedona one day, and relaxed in the area the other two days (one of which we went into Seligman and one of which we spent with Don on his day tour). You can stop in Williams on your way home from the Grand Canyon to get groceries but there isn't much to do near the ranch at night. We enjoyed sitting outside by the fire making smores or having wine by the indoor fire place on the nights it was cold outside. We would all HIGHLY recommend this for family vacations! Thanks for making my mom's 60th so special!!"

  • Perfect

"loved the location, vistas, and the resident pets! they had restaurant suggestions and menus, maps, trail maps, books, games, and peace and quiet. The casita was all that we needed. I wish we did not have to leave."

  • Thanks for the Memories!

"We have been all around the world, but we think our stay here in Arizona and your home has been one of the most rewarding and memorable vacations we have ever enjoyed. Every day here has delivered a great memory for us. We have had seven wonderful hikes all through Sedona and Oak Creek, we have taken a train ride to the Grand Canyon, we have had two thrilling jeep tours through the back country, we have explored the nearby old West towns of Prescott and Jerome, have visited the native American sites of Montezuma's Castle, Palatki and Tuzigoot, tasted great wines and lunches at vineyards in Cornville, shopped at outstanding local art galleries and Tlaquepague, eaten wonderful meals at the local restaurants and experienced some fine dining at Timo, Elote, Renes, and Cucina Rustica, played golf at Sedona and Oakcreek golf courses, and enjoyed a great concert as part of the film festival. Tonight we are going to hear Richard Dreyfus talk and present Mr. Hollands' Opus at the Performing Arts Center. We also managed to see four other films while we have been here. We have been very busy enjoying the area, and none of this would have been possible without staying in your cottage. But we also have just enjoyed your cottage. Our dog loves the backyard, a freedom he doesn't have back in Estes Park. The neighborhood is filled with kind and intelligent individuals. You have supplied your home here very, very well, and we have lacked for nothing during our stay. We have found everything we need at local shops and businesses, and when we tire we enjoy great television programs and melodious wind chimes before we go to sleep in a great bed. And the backyard, stars overhead and the birds here have us renewed, refreshed and ready to face winter again back in Colorado. Thank you for giving us such a natural and spiritual rest here in your beautiful home."

  • Home Sweet Home

"The condo is indeed quiet, comfy and cozy. It is centrally located, so it was easy to travel to Monument Valley, the Grand Canyon, Sedona, the Painted Desert and the Petrified Forest. The owners were very easy to work with and were responsive to my emails. I really like returning to a little home away from home after a day of hiking or exploring."
