  • Best Vacation

"We recently stayed at the Patty Shack for a week with our best friends. The house was very spacious, clean and inviting. The location was close to everything including the grocery store, Sedona, wineries, shopping and a day trip to the Grand Canyon. There was plenty to do and also very relaxing at the house and enjoyed our time at the heated pool and hot tub. We will definitely go back."

  • Wonderful vacation home in Oak Creek

"My wife and I stayed in this beautiful home for the month of April and absolutely loved it. It is located on the 18th hole of the Oak Creek golf course and has magnificent views of the course and red rock buttes behind it. It is far enough from the green that no golf balls ever came near the back yard and we were very comfortable sitting out back enjoying the scenery. We had another couple visit as well as our grown up kids at another time, and all enjoyed the serenity and scenery. The queen sized beds in the 2 master bedrooms were comfortable and our daughter enjoyed the hide a bed single bed in the sunroom. The Village of Oak Creek is a great place to stay. It is a quiet, beautiful community about 5 miles south of Sedona so has all of the charm without being quite so touristy. There is a wonderful selection of hikes and mountain bike rides located in the near area. There are a few crafty shops and coffee shops in Oak Creek within walking distance. There are lots of shops in Sedona if you wish to shop. In our month here we had two days of rainy weather, the rest of the time it was sunny and warm without being exceptionally hot. I don't normally hand out 5 star ratings as it leaves no room for improvement but this house, and the Oak Creek location, exceeded our expectations. Our thanks go out to Sara and Davis for allowing us to share and experience their wonderful home."

  • Love the place! Observation Deck is a plus!

"This place was perfect in every way. It was a treat from the moment we first arrived and saw Castle Rock from the front door. What a thrill to see it so close! Staying there, we felt quite at home -- only better. We were impressed how spacious, homey, well-laid out, nicely appointed, and clean it was. We had a fabulous stay in such a pleasant and comfortable house. It was a wonderful base from which to come and go to beautiful hikes and sightseeing jaunts. And we had such enjoyable times relaxing on the back patio--wine and cheese in the afternoon, and laying in the loungers, watching the shooting stars and Milky Way pass overhead. We came here to watch the winter sky for my birthday, and it did not disappoint. Wonderful observation deck. We look forward to coming back and staying here again. We would not hesitate to recommend this place to our family and friends."

  • Comfortable, serene & great location!!

"Our family of 5 really enjoyed our week there. The house is located in an out-of-the-way gated community so it's incredibly peaceful, safe and quiet. The location was perfect for everything. A short drive to the town of Sedona with great restaurants and hiking. A beautiful red rock view from the back deck and you could actually hike right from there. We took our elderly mom and she had a downstairs room and that was helpful. However, I would not consider the house handicap accessible. The house has a very well stocked kitchen!! We've rented many homes and this was the most stocked home we've ever stayed in. There's a washer/ dryer with detergent, extra paper products, etc... The 3 upstairs rooms were large and comfortable. The only downside is the skylights above the beds upstairs! Not a good design when the sun rises at 4:30-5:00! The living area was large, with a fireplace and flat screen tv. We enjoyed all our meals on the outside patio table and used the gas grill on several occasions. Myrna, the property manager was good about returning emails about questions regarding the house. It could use a little updating but Id definitely recommend this property. Sedona is amazing!"
