"We rented this place to escape the heat of Phoenix, and maybe to discover new things about Prescott. What we found was the perfect sanctuary to get away from it all, and really relax and rest up -- while still pursuing activities. There is so much this place has to offer. Hiking and biking trails nearby, and a short drive to cute lakes for paddle boarding or kayaking. Our dog had a blast in the cute completely fenced garden. One of our favorite things was to sit out in the evening and watch our dog chase squirrels. Deer came by to visit as well. It was so peaceful to sleep with the windows open and hear the sounds of crickets at night, vs. the awful hum of air conditioning units that you hear in Phoenix in the summer. Our hostess was perfect - she thought of everything and the cottage is cozy, charming, clean and comfortable. We would come back in a heart beat."

"Rooms, bedrooms, amenities could not be beat by another property with short term availability. lovely HOA community, spacious and very clean home. Wonderful deck to enjoy the lake view with plenty of seating. Great location, but the access to the lake only works if you are going to take a boat out but not as much for fishing straight from the bank since its just too steep but we found a spot just about 100 yards from the house that worked for fishing and we actually caught three large fish in 2 days, decently stocked lake too."

"We just stayed in the cabin this past weekend and I can't stop thinking about how soon we can go back! There were four in our group (two couples, late 20s and early 30s). The views in the cabin were great! We kepts the windows open all night and heard Elk calls!
Saturday began with coffee on the upper balcony and a view of trees and mountains that looked like it was printed from a postcard. We hiked in search of geocaches and scenery and were not disappointed! Then we headed up to the Fossil Creek Creamery where we loaded up on delicious fudge and some fig goat cheese for our dinner later in the evening.
The drive back to the cabin was beautiful - we made a point to stop at an antique shop along the way! Excellent prices, service, and selection! We then headed to a local festival, fished at Woods Canyon Lake, and made it home to grill steaks, play cards, and enjoy the fire pit (and s'mores, of course) behind the cabin.
Lisa has stocked the home with everything you will need! While we had packed all of our supplies, it was nice to see a selection of commonly forgotten items available, if needed. There was toothpaste, cleaning supplies, coffee and tea, and even toys, games, and equipment in the basement! There is also a great hammock stand that we wish we had time to use!
The only thing I would change about our weekend is the length of time we stayed- if only it could be longer! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us and other travelers to come."
