Recent Forest Lakes property reviews

  • Excellent property with very attentive owners. Great attention to detail!

"We stayed at this Forest Lakes property just after New Year with 2 other families. We had six adults and a slew of small children. This property had plenty of room and all of the necessities for a great family trip. There are not a great deal of pictures of the property but the house is beautiful, clean and the deck is to die for! Even though it was January, we spent so much time outside. The deck has a fireplace and several heaters and it is the perfect outdoor space nestled among the tall pines. The interior of the property has everything imaginable for a perfect weekend (games, toys, magazines, movies, books, utensils for cooking, spices, sleds). We look forward to returning to this property. It would be a great summer trip as well. The owner is available and helpful with any questions you have throughout the stay. Thanks to John and his family for opening their vacation home to us."

  • Spacious, Clean and Comfortable = a relaxing,weekend getaway

"What a delightful cabin with a great view out the large back windows. The cabin is much larger than it looks in pics or from the driveway. It has a cool wood stove that kept us and much of the house completely warm. Large master bedroom suite in the loft. 3 bathrooms. Everything was clean and well organized. The owner is very helpful with answers to any questions and the neighbors on either side were very nice. We had just a small 4 person group, but it can accommodate comfortably larger groups. If you like to cook, it's got a great gas stove. Close to plenty of outdoor activities. I would definitely stay there again and will recommend this majestic cabin in the woods to anyone...in fact I did so the day after returning to Scottsdale. You won't want to leave and the price is a bargain!,"

  • Perfect Cabin

"Picture's don't do it justice! Firstly, the owners Rhonda and Charlie are extremely easy to work with, very friendly and accommodating and have an amazing cabin. We left Scottsdale after work on Friday and were at the cabin in about 2 hours flat - a great, quick getaway. We arrived, walked into the cabin and never looked back. The cabin is exactly that - a great cabin. It has great decor, from pictures from the old west days to recent family pictures. Two nice bedrooms with comfortable beds, a huge loft upstairs with multiple beds and a great, open floorplan. They have everything broken down for you in an easy welcome book, and we turned on the thermostat, started a fire and were great. We relaxed, fired up their very nice propane BBQ on the patio and had a great dinner the first night. All appliances and counters tops are new looking and in great condition - nicer than my home! Living room has a huge, comfortable sectional couch and we sat there and played games the entire night both nights. The next day was a relaxing day - we enjoyed a fire all morning and in the early afternoon took a walk through the 15 miles of national forest behind their cabin! They're at the end of the road, so no one behind them, only a couple cabins across the road and one cabin to the left... everything else is wilderness! All in all, a great cabin. We spent our entire time there talking about the next time we're coming back - and there will be more times! Don't pass this up, you'll regret it!"
